I don't know really know a whole lot about the system but i played it with one of my friends back when it came out. My Questions are...
I know it was short lived but did it have some good games?
Are they hard to find/expensive?
Would u recomend it?

1. It definitely had a lot of good games. Games that I still play to this day. Lots of SEGA arcade style games, which I love.
2. Not at all. I have seen them at Goodwill. Ebay works well.
3. If you are into old gaming at all, I would get a Dreamcast by any means necessary.

1) Oh heck yes. I have a pair of them. One in the gaming room and one in my bedroom. To this day I still pop out a game of Toy Commander or Sonic Adventures. The Library may be smaller but tons of great games, some of which you can still find sealed for under 10 bucks online
2) Not at all, Most of the local gaming stores I have seen sell then for 29.99 - 49.99 and you can get them for less online, eBay for example.
3) Oh heck yeah
Were the Sonic Adventure games more fun on the Dreamcast than the Gamecube? I have SA2 but not one so I would want to pick it up. Also I heard that there are still people making games for the system, is that true?
by all means get one there very cheap nowadays and there are plenty of great games out for it by all means BUY ONE NOW!!! you love every second of playing oneI don't know really know a whole lot about the system but i played it with one of my friends back when it came out. My Questions are...

For the games still coming out, no. The Dreamcast did continue in Japan until like 2005 but soon got old. It only lasted in NA until about 2001 or 2002. If you like import's you might be happy:).Also I heard that there are still people making games for the system, is that true?

By far best console to hit the market. to bad it was in fact short lived:(HUGE_TRAV...In North America. It was a huge hit in Japan.
I think i am going to get it. I looked up Dreamcast on craigs list and found this
I'm selling a Sega Dreamcast system in very good, working condition with one new controller and one used controller, 2 new condition VMU cards, one used VMU, and 11 assorted used games. This is an awesome game system that was never really that popular, but was extremely overlooked in my opinion, and would work out great for someone not looking to spend $300-$500 on a next gen. system. The games include:
NBA 2K
MDK 2
Sega GT
NFL 2K1
Grandia II
Shenmue
Quake 3 Arena
4x4 Evolution
Crazy Taxi
Outtrigger
NBA Showtime NBA on NBC
This is for $45, sound good?
As long as the DC is in good working condition that is a fair deal. You can find similar deals on Ebay that might fit your needs better if you're looking for specific games. If you do get a Dreamcast you must get Rayman 2. It's the best 3d platformer from the pre-PS2 era hands-down. (Blows Mario 64 out of the water even though that title was supposedly the be-all-end-all 3D platformer.)
The Dreamcast is a great system to get at this point in time, especially if you already own a PS2.
I have three words to say to you:
yes
yes
yes
The dreamcast is one of my very important pride console, i still have a few games with it and played on it recently. Good luck trying to get hold of one though, unless you use ebay of course. Oh and the games i would recommened are:
Tomb radier: last reveltion (sorry if miss spelt)
crazy taxi- a pure old school game and great arcade game.
sonic adventure- sonics first real adventure in 3D it won't let you down.
And eco the dolphin- not to my exact liking but check it out if your in 2 puzzlers.
hope i helped, jamie
thats a straight deal but I already own oneI think i am going to get it. I looked up Dreamcast on craigs list and found this

I can vouch that there are some nice neat titles that came out for the dreamcast. It was short-lived yes, but it pumped out some legendary games in a short amount a time, and a good number of now cult classics. I got a nice set, full with two memory card, controllers, and all that jazz for 40 bucks at the fleamarket. hardly was played, in great condition.
And the games vary in prices, but you can develop a nice collection quickly without going too deep into your wallet.

1. It sure did! Crazy Taxi, Soul Calibur, Sonic Adventure, Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue, Grandia II, Resident Evil Code Veronica, AeroWings 2 and several more.
2. Generally, I've seen them go from $5 to $30, depending on the game and/or condition. You can find a lot of them online.
3. Of course I would! Dreamcast is a must have system!
