I want to buy a PS2 for Kingdom hearts and Ico/Shadow of the Colossus. I was looking around, and spotted a $29.99 refurbished PS2 on Gamestop's website: http://www.gamestop.ca/ps2/consoles/ps2-system-gamestop-refurbished/253379\ I don't care if it's brand new. All I want is for it to work long enough for me to beat the four games. Is it worth it? $29.99 is an absolutely ridiculous price in my eyes. I would think there would be something wrong with it. Do I get a warranty? If somebody could answer these questions, I would be very appreciative. -GOW

If it's involving something from Team Ico, you buy the damn system. End of story.

yeah $30 for a PS2 is a great deal. Many places want like $45+ (amazon.com starts at $45)

If my ps2 broke, Id be willing to pay $30 for another one. but fortunately thats not the case.

Sure if you only want to play four games. But why not get a new one and play a lot more? I don't like buying used systems myself unless that's the only way to get them for a decent price(like my Saturn).

Went out and bought myself the refurbished PS2 today. Working fantastic and I'm very happy with it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find Kingdom Hearts anywhere, but I was lucky enough (after hours of searching) to find a rare copy of Shadow of the Collosus with the manual, game box, disc. Not to mention that it's in great condition. Thank you all for your responses!

I bought a fat refurbished PS2 from them, and it works fine. Had it for about 2 or 3 years.

That's not a bad price for one. I'd buy it. They do offer a warranty where I live. It's $10 more, for a 1 year warranty. Which isn't bad, imo. As for if they offer it where you live? I'd suggest calling and asking.

I didn't have a good experiences with the first and last time I bought a refurb PS2. Controllers were all tired, and the unit itself only lasted 12 months. That was back in '02.
