I always thought the Elder Scrolls was terrible with stealth. It was horrid in Morrowind. Raising sneak was a huge pain. Oblivion improved it but it eventually became useless. Plus, if you wanted to play a ranged/stealth type assassin, you got no sort of bonuses to archery. It was fire an arrow, that was it. No trick shot where you fire two arrows at once or something? C'mon Bethesda.
I really hope we get more information on this as well. Although dual daggers could fit my play style nicely.
Oh the one thing I am worried about is AI. I saw a clip in which some animals ran by the player which is good. All the previous games had creatures that would attack on sight no matter what they were and it's good to see some different AI. However I saw a clip with a stealth kill in which two people were standing near each other, the one guy was one-hit killed with an arrow while the other just stood there waiting for his turn. I can see Skyrim flopping in the AI dept again.smerlus
Yeah this bothered me too, wouldn't be surprised if the AI turns out crap again.
I dislike that they've done away with the hand to hand skill. I hope unarmed combat is still present in Skyrim, I'd love to somehow beat a dragon to death with my bare hands.
Skyrim hasnt improved much fromme. Less skills=less freedom=low reality=low quality=bad impression. so instead of amping up games these days the devs are trying to keep them in the limits of the consoles which is not the sole purpose of gaming. They should make a more realistic game on PC because its almost four times powerfulthan any console(a high-end one){not mine} so its not improvement.

All combat skills are gone; there is no more blade, blunt, short sword, longsword, etc. It's all condensed into one handed and two handed.

I'm pretty sure that guy turned around and was looking for the player and just couldn't find him.

My inner gamer cringes, but I have faith in Bethesda.

I don't even know where to begin.
All these advances in technology and games become dumbed down shadows of their former selves.
Soon, 4 year olds will be able to embark on the epic journeys through the lands of the Elder Scrolls... yay.

Actually the condensing of Blade, Blunt into One-handed and Two-handed is a good thing. It allows for more customization. Even though theres only two melee skills theres actuay way more diversity. Because within each of those skills you got Swords, Maces, and Axes. Theres also perks for weapon type too. which also allows more customization. So for example you may be skilled in One-handed, but then you could still choose between if you want to specifically wield a sword, a mace or an axe.[QUOTE="Former_Slacker"]

I can see it now. TESVI will have 3 skills, attack, defense and other. After all, why bother with anything else, they all fufill the same purpose, right? So why not just "streamline" the game some more because the stats just take away from from the hack n slash gameplay and linear quests.
