At the risk of getting the rumor mills roaring..... has anyone heard anything semi-concrete about Nintendo FINALLY making a portalbe Smash Bros game? The 3DS seems like it could handle it. Any news?

Have not heard that rumor yet.

But that'd be awesome, I really hope it does come to the 3DS. That would definitely seal the deal for me buying that $250 device, that and KH3D.

I think the screen is too small to handle four-man fights. People who aren't used to playing Brawl, call it a chaotic mess - think what it would look like on a 3 inch screen.

Would be a nice thing to have, but I have heard no rumor about it. A battle DON vs Smash bros would be crazy good, IMO

Haven't heard of anything like that yet and that would be interesting, but Nintendo has yet to put a Super Smash Brothers on a hand held console.

I haven't heard anything about except fans talking about how cool it'd be... I dunno, I can't really see it being that great. SF and DoA work out pretty well because you can see fine as the camera doesn't really pan out, but in SSB, sometimes it's difficult to see your character on a TV screen when there are 3 or 4 people or a large stage.... I think it'd be hard to see on a tiny screen... hmm... it'd be interesting, though. Maybe they'll port over SSB1 or Melee...

No, there's been nothing. Likely because the main guy behind Smash Bros. and his team are busy on Kid Icarus.

No confirmation yet, but that by no means is any indication of whether or not it'll actually happen. My guess is we'll hear something about it by the end of the year. The 3DS is more than capable, and Nintendo fanboys have been *****ing about it since the DS came out. Yeah, it'll happen. Just a question of when.

One thing that I've heard suggested I think makes a lot of sense. To make up for the potential difficulty in seeing when the camera is panned out, perhaps the top screen could keep your character in relatively close/large, while the bottom screen shows where all fighters are in relation to eachother. I think that COULD work. Just a thought (but not mine).
