Just one, but throughout the game, you get to read some of Kaim's (main character) memories from his past lives, they are really interesting and allow you to connect with the characters better on an emotional level....but the ending felt complete to meKeredsBlaze

I have a feeling that reading memories from past lives will more than likely be one of the many achievements in the game. Can't wait...

Not sure what you guys are referring to, but I won't let that stop me from playing and eventually completing LO when I finally get my copy...I'm hoping my second copy comes in sometime next week (my first copy was returned)!

It's the hardest part of the game (at that point).

Oh yeah, it's THAT confusing

I'm sorry. . .Lost Odyssey is literally one of the worst games I've ever played. I hated the story, the gameplay and so much else about it, but I hope that yoy like it.

I wouldn't say it's the MOST confusing, but there were a couple of segments that left me scratching my head. A bit of a confusing challenge is good I guess. :P

Not as bad as that maze in Two Worlds 2... I actually thought of running around that maze like a headless chicken, thank goodness I found this before doing so:

Anyways, I still vividly remember those little stories you get to read every time Kaim unlocks one of his lost memories, some of them truly had me in tears.

I received my second copy of Lost Odyssey in the mail today and I'm happy to say that I got the right version this time. Brand-new, sealed, and in NTSC! I will start my game today. :)

Enjoy Lost Oddysey. I find it a little hard to go back to now since the battle system feels a little too slow for my tastes, but I greatly enjoyed the game when it came out. You'll enjoy it if you like a more traditional combat system. The story is pretty standard, but the dream sequences are the parts that stand out for me. Really fun reads. I wonder what's up with Mistwalker anyway. Haven't heard anything from them in some time.

It's been mentioned already, but I'll say it again anyway: the first two bosses are probably the most difficult you will face since you are generally ill equipped, so brace yourself for those. Also make sure you try to evenly level up your team, because disc 3 puts you in varied fixed parties with no chance for backtracking and leveling. That way you don't get yourself stuck.

Sounds good. My main piece of advice - install the game. It cuts the load times for battles down considerably and will preserve a good portion of your sanity as you play through.

Thanks for the advice! I've read some of the comments in here stating that the load times are horrendous, so I will make sure to install the game. :)

^Since I came back from a trip earlier today, I've been exhausted for the day and haven't gotten around to it just yet. But I will be starting my game tomorrow, since I have nothing going on. I'll let you know better impressions by then, if anyone's interested of course! :)

Make sure to read the thousand memory stories (I forgot the name of them). They are all really well thought-out and very emotional. :D

I began my game of Lost Odyssey yesterday and I'm in love with it right now. I am about to pick up my first compainion, Gongora, in Uhra (I believe that's what is going to happen anyway) and I was nearly in tears after reading three memory stories, the last one being about a hero's return. They nearly drove me in tears after reading them; so heartfelt and emotional. I honestly can't wait to delve more into this game and see what else it has to offer, because so far, it's an amazing ride and I am enjoying it every second.

Glad to hear things worked out! Got my 360 as a gift and only played exclusive SP games on it, LO included. As people say, it's like an FF game, kinda archaic but still briliant production values and story. I'm sad to admit the game fell apart for me at the last disc. Got stuck at the final boss' last phase (for reasons known to those who beat it) because I didn't wanna go through that hassle after 50+ hours of gaming. So I youtube'd the final boss battle and ending LOL!

Again, arguably the best JRPG this gen. Can't wait for Wii's Last Story, which I'll most likely be importing (NTSC gamer).

If the stories at the begining are bringing you to the brink of tears, wait until you get to some of the later ones. I think they hit the mark, showing the emotional rollercoaster of immortality through loss. I really enjoyed the game and it sounds like you are also.

They are bringing me to the brink of tears. Like I said, heartfelt and emotional. The first one alone, Hanna's Departure, was just heart-wrenching.

I am getting that feeling as I play more. The memories are part of the main plot and isn't considered a distraction, which is a plus.

So I'm now in the Iplison Mountains with Seth and Jansen as my first two compainions. Some of the systems they incorporated here reminds me of Final Fantasy IX, in terms of having items equipped and keeping them on until you learn that skill or spell. It's pretty interesting! Jansen is a bit of an oddball and I am not sure what to think of Seth Balmore yet, but she's cute. :P I think her and Kaim go a long ways. In fact, I think...
...she's the little girl that Kaim tries to save in his dream, but she falls...
Of course, I can be wrong...like how I was wrong in thinking that Gongora would be my first ally to get, but I think I'll get him in my party somewhere down the road. I also read my next memory, the Little Liar...that was a sad tale!
