For me, one was when i was playing one of the old Area 51 shooting games, where i shot the numbered buttons inside an elevator, and these chickens that looked like something you buy at a supermarket popped out, and i think i was able to hear the noises that chickens make.

Another was when i tried to make a character called ZarakiKenpachi in the game Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction for online play, and the game, for some reason, wouldnt let me.

So what are some of the weird things you remember finding in a game you played?

Well the name is probably just a name that is taken, and there are many easter eggs in games

Doubt about the name being taken. If i remember this happening correctly, if the name is taken, it says, "Name Already Taken" but when i tried to choose the name, it said, "Server rejects name."

might also be they have taken licensed names and rejected them, there are other games that do that aswell

Only glitches really.

Although my copy of Splinter Cell has a typo on the spine of the case.

It says Tom Clancy's Splinetr Cell.

Find that quite amusing.

For what reason? So what if you create an online character with a licensed name?Someone can sue over that?

I found a full bore crash glitch in Avatar the Last Airbender for PS2 after playing it for multiple weeks.  Literally game ending/ gray screen (yet the audio kept playing oddly enough). I've also proven frustratingly proficient at finding reset-only glitches in Lego Lord of the Rings :\

yeah they can actually, because you do it public. In DC Universe for instance, you don't get to name your characters after any of the DC comic ones

I think it's weird that in Dragon's Dogma, I can have my female character running around in a g-string and a bikini top and it provides almost as high an armor rating as head-to-toe chain mail armor.

Weird in a really good way though :)

Oh god I'm such a nerd.

I bought a used PS2 a few months back, which was a waste of $30 since haven't got one game to play right. The weird thing is that they all fail in different ways. Ace Combat 5 just system crashes and reboots halfway through the first mission, Ace Combat Zero just won't start period, and here's the best one; I have an old PS1 copy of Metal Gear Solid that I wanted to play, so I start playing and when I get to the elevator, IT HAS NO FLOOR! Honestly how does that even happen? Tried starting a new game a few times, and every single time you try to walk into the elevator you fall about 20 feet and are stuck on an invisible floor. Now I borrowed my downstairs neighbor's system and all the games play fine (including Ace Combat 5 on the used system as long as you save after the first mission). Just plain bizarre...

Red Storm Entertainment loved putting easter eggs in their games. I know in the TV Station map for Rogue Spear, Greg Stelmack's picture on one of the monitors in the control room. In Ghost Recon, entering certain phrases in the console shot exploding chickens from the AT-4 or hand grenades became squirrels or God tossed you in the air and you died in a ball of flames when you hit the ground.
