I got that game, and it's not as good as I thought. Mainly because you're a wolf 85% of the game. The stages when you're real Sonic are kind of fun I guess, but they don't have good control. But the wolf stages are very frustrating. I don't like using the L and R buttons for fighting combinations. And I keep dying because of the poor control. And you only get 2 lives! And they don't even give you extra lives! But I do like Chip.
I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for anybody who buys this game. If you believed this would be anything other than gawbage, then I gotta remind you to cancel your preorder for the next Dynasty Warriors.
Its a cool game but the Werehog levels slow it down. Its still MUCH better than past Sonic console attempts such as Sonic the Hedgehog for Xbox 360. Hell, 2008 might be the Sonic revival year.

Did you get the Wii or PS2 version? Because the Werehog and Hedgehog gameplay is 50/50 in the Xbox 360 version. I actually dig the Werehog's slower platforming. The faster platforming and slower platforming of the 2 characters make it much more varied.
Also, the controls aren't poor on Xbox 360. They're actually pretty darn responsive.
And you get more than 2 lives, and there are indeed extra lives. They have Sonic's face on them.
Note to Sega, make a Sonic game based upon speed gameplay and stop comming up with gimmicky crap!!! And how about doing what Capcom did with Megaman 9 and make a true 2D Sonic 4 but with handrawn HD sprites. Ever since Sonic stepped out into the 3rd dimension all has gone downhill, the last good 3D Sonic game I played was Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast, why the hell did Sega stepped away from that template is beyond me. How many times do we have to hear, yeah, sorry about last game, but this time it is truly a rebirth for the franchise! They had been saying that since Sonic HEROES!!!

50% of Unleashed is very "old-school" Sonic. ;) I find it hard to believe that any person who grew up with the Mega Drive or Genesis and loved Sonic, couldn't get into Unleashed. The other 50% (Werehog) is a bit Ristar-ish and Crash Bandicoot-ish.

1) So? 2) meh 3) uh no 2008 = another sad year for a once great mascot
The sonic levels can be fun, infact they can be a lot of fun, but then the camera will screw up and you'll run into a wall slowing you to a crawl and you realize this isn't the same sonic you played in the 90's and on the dreamcast, this is a new sonic game made by the new sega. The warehog levels are incredibly meh, and they definately mess with the flow of action.
I'm getting the wii version for christmas, heard it was more fun, and I loved the first wii sonic, but the 360 version was bleh.
