the service, developed by Hapti Co. Studios using Google browser tools is Square Enix's answer to cloud gaming featuring their own catalog which has over the years added IP from companies like Core and Crystal Dynamics--and of course, Hitman developer IO Interactive.

COREONLINE will be ad-supported, but of course you have an out if you want to either purchase levels or entire games to get out of having to sit through promotional content. The site is currently in its beta phase, but you can check it out and mess around with the available titles now

Square is an IOS Onlive company now.

Why? Haven't we seen how OnLive has turned out?

I tried out the first level hitman blood money on this site and I'm pretty surprised at how good the quality looks even in full screen and also theres barely any controller lag if at all. Unlike OnLive which was a blurry mess and had plenty of controller delay. I'm only on a 12mb down connection and I'm getting very good quality out of it. The only thing I'm noticing is slight frame rate dips which is odd because it's being streamed.

Know he left. Quit. jumped off the ship before it sank... I mean floated to victory.

The problem for me though is that there still is some lag, and there always will be with cloud gaming. Local hardware will run better every single time.

this is way better than development of (unnamed Chrono game). You've done it again, Squeenix!

Great. I would like this feature on a console.

What a waste, why not just focus on making games.

I don't understand cloud gaming - I knew about OnLive, but I just never had any interest in it. Apparently nobody else did either. But it's the way of the future - or so we're continuously told. Yeah...whatever.

About the only real application I can see for it is that it allows a console manufacturer to offer unlimited backwards compatibility, as they don't have to make the hardware compatible with previous generation games, and since it's just an added feature, it's kind of nice for that.
