Steam, hands down. Direct2Drive's worldwide library is extremely gimped and they've got nothing on Steam's frequent deals. Also, Steam is so much more than just a store, it's a service with plenty of cool features (Steam Cloud, Steamworks, achievements, etc.).

I agree for the same reasons. I have used direct2drive a few times but given a choice I would always use steam first.

Seconded. When Direct2Drive had a huge birthday sale week, most of the deals were exclusive to North America. If a game is available elsewhere, I refuse to D2D because of their horrible worldwide support.
