EDIT BY MOD: Hey, uh, hope you don't mind me hijacking the thread for a second. Just wanted to make it clear that the closure isn't happening. They're just being absorbed by Namco. Everything is fine. So don't panic.

This is indeed sad news to hear. I am not sure if any Tales games will be coming out here at this point...and for what systems. Hopefully, the series will make a return at some point. Tales is just too awesome...!

It's a shame, I wanted to play Tales of Vesperia on my ps3. I deeply enjoyed Eternal Sonata, and honestly it's Namco's fault the game didn't sell well due to lack of advertising. Plus, they shouldn't have given up on ToV just because Eternal Sonata didn't do well on the ps3 in North America.

Rather Tales of Xillia did so well that Namco is buying out the whole studio, as opposed to just being the majority shareholder.nintendog66

They've rested on their laurels with their games and have done nothing to improve them, each and every single one of them has the same flaws and yet nothing is ever done.

It's a wonder that Namco is absorbing them, if only to cut away the workers and give their IP's to people who can do a competent job
