I highly doubt it would run on PS2, and since a version is already on PS3, why port it to PS2?MAILER_DAEMON
well if they could get it to run with way worse graphics theres like 100 million ps2s out there, they would probably make a profit if they did it
isnt that what america is about ;)

Systems aren't all about graphics. Compare Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on the 360 to the PS2 & Xbox versions if you don't believe me... The game wouldn't be that good on the PS2, and aside from the fact that Valve has no interest in it, they never even made any kind of Source engine for the PS2. :?A lot of people have a PS2 because it was the "big console" back before the PS3. Plus it would be cheaper for PS2 becasue not as good graphics.[QUOTE="MAILER_DAEMON"]I highly doubt it would run on PS2, and since a version is already on PS3, why port it to PS2?BlobstoneIt's not merely about graphics. It's about scaling the Source engine to run on the PS2, and of the legacy systems, the only one Valve has it running on is Xbox, and the only game they have on it is Half Life 2, which was made before they made any updates to Source.
As it is now, it couldn't run on the PS2. There's no good reason to, and they're not going to. Fact is, it wouldn't be good on any of the older consoles. :?
