Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask are tied for me as the best Zeldas ever. They are both just so amazing, and I cannot possibly choose one over the other. :?

The best handheld Zelda is defientely Oracle of Season's/Oracle of Ages, Seasons being better than Ages, IMO.

I'd say Oot because it was the game that got me into gaming.

Ocarina might have been good, mbut to me, Zelda was at its peak with Link to the Past, that game was simply epic. TI think I find The Wind Waker to be better than Ocarina as well, The Wind Waker was an unforgettable and timeless experience, though the long sailing parts really bummed me. And I'm currently playing Phantom Hourglass, and I've gotta say, as far as pure unadulterated fun is concerned, I've never had more fun with any other Zelda game ever.

WW, MM, and TP are all very close in my mind. I don't think I could pick one. Which is why I'm going with LttP.

Link's Awakening DX ftw. It was the first Zelda game I ever played and is still my favorite handheld game of all time. I've recently been playing through the old console games and I have to admit OoT is phenomenal and is definitely the closest second I could imagine.

My favorite was Twilight Princess, however most fans think Ocarina of Time.

A Link to the Past is my overall favorite Zelda game and best IMO. My favorite 3d Zelda is Twilight Princess (my first 3d Zelda game I played). However I still have yet to play Majoras Mask.

The legend of Zelda: A link to the past. That was the best in my opinion.

Without a doubt its Ocarina Of Time And Its Direct Sequel Majoras Mask. I'm surprised not many people have majoras mask as one of their top Zelda games... its fantastic.

In my opinion Majora's Mask, but barely anyone agrees.

ShadowedSight

I agree. OOT was just more massive, and I will say that the dungeons were better (with the exception of Stone Tower Temple, ftw!). But Majora's Mask was just more polished. More mature. Deeper. And nostalgic. The original overworld theme returned, as well as a few other classic Zelda songs, not to mention older bosses like Twinmold (originally seen in the Desert Palace) and Wizzrobe. It took the best from past Zeldas, including the Ocarina of Time engine, horseback riding, and races, along with SNES and NES music and enemies, while adding in a more mature narrative. Never before has Zelda been so moody and dark. Not to mention it was downright scary at times. I used to have nightmares from Ikana Graveyard. And while the NPC's were more of afterthoughts in OoT, they now had their own schedules, and you became thouroughly involved with them.

That is why Majora's Mask really stuck with me. It just felt real. No wonder why it is not only my favorite Zelda game, but my favorite game.

A Link to The Past, definately. There has been no story in The Legend of Zelda ever since. Yes, Ocarina of Time was great, but it was another game, another system, and in "3D", which made it the biggest Zelda yet. And to me it's a close second. But nothing compares to A Link to The Past. The music and the deep story there is intense. I even read the comics back then. It wins, it's epic and it's legendary.

[QUOTE="SatanAntichrist"]

[QUOTE="Shiggums"]

The only one I could really enjoy was Four Swords Adventure. So...that one :P

Shiggums

Are you joking?

Nope. I never could get into the other Zelda games.

^Don't worry, my boyfriend is the same way. He never really plays the other Zelda games but he really gets into the 4 swords game.

My favorite games are A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time. I've played almost all of them and they are all good but I will never forget the feelings I had when I played those two games. My mom had rented A Link to the Past for me at first and I loved it so much I had to get her to buy it for me. I got Ocarina of Time for Christmas and played it that morning. I was so sad when we had to go to the relatives house for Christmas dinner. All I wanted to do was play that game! :)

I've only played a few Zelda games, but my favorites are MM and OoT.
