What is the most brutal game you ever played? The most bloody and the most violent game? I played manhunt and its quite good... Is there any other game that can do the trick? Something with cool or sharp:) weapons

Bloodrayne 2 is pretty brutal. You can't go a minute without some body parts being cut up or being thrown into something to destroy stuff.
Some of the boss fights in God of war looked brutal, but a really scripted feeling to them.
Not that it was that brutal, but this thread made me think of it, did anyone else ever play thrill kill? it was the fighting game that was so disgusting and brutal EA bought the rights to the game just to stop it from coming out? and it was a big controversy at the time?
I actually had a pirated copy of it, as it was never released, that game was tame at the time, I didnt see the big deal about it then, when I was in like 8th or 9th grade. Ha if only then they knew manhunt would one day hit the shelves, they would have been really disgusted.

Thrill Kill had evident references to sexual perversion and cannibalism. Furthermore it was pretty disturbing in general, whith all the 'psycho' characters, that's probably the reason for the ban, even though it wasn't that gory, I think there wasn't even blood in it.
Thrill Kill has blood in it. I have a beta tester sent out to reviewers and a few chars have moves that splatter blood. I haven't played it in a while but I even think there's times when blood hits the screen and streaks down.
Most brutal game I've played is Soldier of Fortune. That game was sweet. Run down the sewer and see some skinhead and you shoot the gun out of his hand. Then shotgun his knees. Then when he's screaming in pain you finish the job with a shotgun blast to teh head. Games where you can pinpoint injuries have that extra brutal factor.
I think there's a difference between gory and brutal. For example, RE4 and God of War are gory, but a game like Condemned or Man Hunt is brutal.
I haven't played Manhunt so I have to say that Condemned is the most brutal game I've played. The melee combat feels too realistic and you're dealing with real life psychopaths and beating them with pipes, crow bars, or nailed 2x4s.
Pretty brutal.
Out of ones I've played I'd say God of War II or Phantasmagoria. God of War II's violence was over the top imo and actually took away from my enjoyment of the game a little bit. Phantasmagoria is just an old dumb horror game with some especially nasty cutscenes.
I've never played Manhunt or Postal but I Youtubed Postal 2 once and it looks pretty nasty.
Has to be Manhunt.
Not because of the intimate violence on screen but having to actual play through the game with it's flawed controls and shooting sequences. Ugh, utterly brutal in every sence of the word.
The most fun brutal game I'd have to say is Dead Rising. But that's my answer to everything cause it's my favorite game so take that for what it's worth.
God of war cause you can rip peoples fricken heads and tear wings off the harpies oh and the mortal combat games they are fricken sweet
DEAD RISING+ KATANA + SHOWER HEAD + most every other kick ass weapon!!
never played manhunt or god of war.............. they sound pretty sick though. I'm suprised no one said Gears of war, first time I played through it I was blowing up heads and turning people into mush piles with my shotgun. That is not the most brutal, but definately feels the most rewarding.
For gore, I would actually go with the Doom games. While killing your enemies wasn't necessarily all that gory (well, there was some pretty nasty death animations in Doom 2), the textures and decorations more than made up for it.
For pure brutality, I can't answer that, I've played so many games that are brutally violent, although first one to come to mind is Soldier of Fortune 2.
Manhunt was hard, dut God of War is place one in the category "most useless violence".In Manhunt it was based on the theme of killing people violent,GoW just had the violence and gore without ANY reason.Ash2X
I agree.
I don't even consider God of War as a brutal or violent games because it's a fantasy game. They are not human.
Manhunt is the most brutal game. Characters are human.
