Steam has it listed as the 24th. I've heard the 25th. I haven't seen anything on Tell Tales site saying the exact date, but it might be coming around the 24th-25th.

I wonder if you spend 100 hrs in the game sitting at a farm emo'ing at each other about your feelings like they do in the show? i watched a 2 season marathon on this show and i couldn't believe how little actually happened in it.

It's based more on the comics.

I'm hoping that it's not just an interactive movie with QTE's and "press this button to turn on the radio" or you have to pretty much just move around to initiate cut scenes. If it is going to be like that, I hope they take a que from Heavy Rain and make the interactions a little more fun, rather than just "press x"...."pressO". I've watched a ton of videos and they said the story is supposed to be really good. tl:dr. Hope it's not an animated comic. Glitchspot won't let me make a new paragraph for some reason.

the gameplay is more "hover a curser over an object and press a button to interact with it" if a zombie attacks you, you have seconds to put the curser over the zombie and press the button to hit it with whatever your holding kinda thing. Theres at least 1 or 2 gameplay trailers on IGN along with an interview with the creator of walking dead.

Yea, the second season was crappy. The first season was way better, when they were moving from one place to another and surviving. The 3rd season will return to the origins, I hope.

I love the series. While slow, I felt that the big punch provided by all the character exposition in Season 2 made for one hell of a finale and introduced so much to look forward to in Season 3 (the infection being more pervasive than once thought, the prison, the governor, badass with ninja sword, Rick's wife being pissed that he lived -- I mean, there is a SHI*TON of stuff to look forward to). As such, I am really hoping the game turns out well, although given the history of tie-ins, I don't have a lot of faith that it will.

Wait. So this game will be more like that Jurassic Park game than Left 4 Dead with cartoony graphics.

yup, no multiplayer, full of quick time events, and button sequences. It's gonna play kinda like Heavy Rain.

the last episode was pretty amazing, but overall the 2nd season was pretty boring and more about the relationship between the survivors and char. development than it was about the zombie apocalypse like i had hoped.

IGN gave it an 8.5. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/122/1223558p1.html . "The best part of The Walking Dead: The Game's first episode -- "A New Day" -- is the thing that will turn many people off: the talking. If you're looking for a zombie game to shotgun your way through or to entertain you with one-liners and cuss words, it's best to ignore The Walking Dead altogether. This is a deeply personal and emotional experience, and that's why it feels so right as a part of this franchise. "

I checked out the review, and it looks pretty good.

I'm gonna pick it up soon.

You can count me among those who considers season two a vast improvement over season one.

Season one was nothing but Zombie 101; recycled tropes and scenarios done countless times before.

Season two focused on characterization and spent time examining how different personalities would react to something as nightmarish and apocalyptic as a zombie menace.

If all people want is zombie action there are dozens of outlets for such a fix. This series is predicated on interesting characters and the dynamics of their often complicated relationships.

What did they expect. Its a TV series. Of course it was going to be focused on characters, drama & dialogue. That is the beauty of it. You have Zombie action but you get to see these poeople lives on a week to week basis.

Zombies movies focus on nothing but quick zombie action. I have always wanted to see what happens before, what happens after, what happens long term. Ths show does that.

Was a TV show really going to be 100 episodes of Zombie action? I dont think writers could come up with that much action, that many scenarios, with the same characters & have it be interesting & engaging.

Movies have a hard time keeping that up for an Hour & a half. Try that with a TV show. Wont happen. We all want to see a Zombie Apocalypse play out from begining to end. All the struggles, people, conversations, & everything in between. This show gives us what a movie never could.

I downloaded it tonight, it's pretty good. Be warned COD nards and other various shooter freaks that this is essentially a point and click game. You can go back to building your e-peens, little fellas. Still reading? Good. Anyway, it's pretty good. I like the visuals and it captures the feel of the show somewhat from a desolation/isolation standpoint. The visuals are like a graphic novel come to life, although they are completely distinct from those penned by Robert Kirkman. The first zombie you encounter is done via a QTE event, but it feels right, it that makes any sense.

I'm not very far in yet, but I've already met up with some people and the game likes to let you know when your choices are affecting the storyline. I bought the game on PSN because the 360 version isn't out yet and no one has a firm date on when it will be. Oh well, they're probably shoehorning some bullshi* kinect features in the game. I sprung for the whole season bundle. You get all 5 episodes for $19.99, which is five bills cheaper than if you buy them separately. I realized right away that I was going to play them all unless the game was a complete fuc*ing trainwreck, and it is not. I'm actually heartened by what I've played so far.
