I remember renting this when I was 12. I think I remember it really sucking.
Until you've played this game, you don't know the meaning of the word pain. The Blues Brothers for the SNES has absolutely no logical connection the actual Blues Brothers, no play control, and no reason to have ever been made. It holds the record for the shortest amount of time I have ever kept a rented game (approximately 20 minutes). Any longer and my brain would have jumped out of my head and looked for something to beat me to death with.
Well. Just LOOK at it. Even as a kid you would be fearfull no girl would ever be caught dead with you if they knew you played this. This is the epitome of stupid. No, its like if stupid and dumb mated and had babies named "dupid" or "sumb" you move like you are on ice skates leaving no precision to the jumping or obstacle dodging, you jump on such awesome enemys as gophers and red volkswagons (wtf) and when you die you turn into a ghost and float up the screen going whhoooo whooo whoo whoo. 124kj1njkln1!!! 
rise from your grave!!!! ....god. This game is probably the deep rooted cause of my alcoholism and why I have the insane urge to kick pigs and boars everytime I see them.

Ugh. I hated both of them. I even managed to beat Alex Kidd, and in return for wasting my time, I was given a horribly stupid ending that confirmed that all my time spent playing that game was a complete waste. The original arcade version of Altered Beast is at least playable, but I still don't want to play it.
