This Hate Is Getting Out Of Hand

While people shouldn't get personal, there is pretty absolute and objective issues with EA and Ubisoft. They are incompetent, half-assed, and overall fill the industry with low quality content. This is not undeniable when you look at most of their titles released as of late.

@Jacanuk: Well can't say I'd ignore something like that, in fact I don't. No more than six weeks ago helped someone who was having a heart attack at the train station, and plenty of others helped get him to the hospital once they realized the situation. But again, I try and be helpful and naturally assume the woman or man next to me will as well. Perhaps that's foolish, however I've heavily relied on good people alot and in turn do the same.

Assuming people being "scum" must come from personal experience, that I won't discredit. In your part of the world it might be vastly different. With that, when I see someone not help, it's due to confusion and fear. I don't hold spite for people like that, as stated ''go about life like any other'', and sadly not everyone is willing to help.

For Ubisoft, I think it's because of lot of English speaker does not like the French.

For EA, that's a mystery.

EA and Ubisoft have not been good to me as a gamer but I still think their company or studios and their product rock.

I think all of this is part of the game. I mean as gamers and gaming consumers I think we have the right to voice our opinions about these game companies and their history of doing things. And hopefully by criticizing and voicing our opinions, maybe they will listen and change some things and make it better next time around.

There are significantly more reasons to hate those two companies than to like them.

If you really think the reasons are as simple as that , then you must be new to gaming.

Why people are "hating" on Ubisoft is because they have become a shitty company that worry more about cash grabs then making quality titles, And even their new ip´s like Watch Dogs lacked any kind of quality, not to mention that the downgrades.

EA is hated because they have always been pure poison to the gaming world which is what Ubisoft has become not to mention that EA has bought several companies that have made quality games and made them turn out shit that killed beloved franchises. And not forgetting EA was one of the first to begin with all the micro-transactions on a big scale.

People do NOT dislike Ubisoft because "French". 1) I'd bet most gamers don't even know of the ties to Montreal etc. 2) I have never met a fellow American who actually disliked French people. Ever. In fact our country has a long long history of cooperation and friendship with them, stemming from the birth of our nation and memorialized in our Statue of Liberty. I'm sure there's someone in this vast country who hates the French, but there is no way Ubisoft gets a bad rap here because of that handful of random francophobes.

I've hated EA before it was popular to do so. I'm proud of this. I've been hating on them since the late 90s after they released the turd of a game Ultima 9.

EA and Ubisoft are large publishers that have produced some great games but have also produced their fair share of garbage as well. EA was the one that added in the online pass crap that forced gamers to purchase brand new titles of sports games if you wanted to play online or download up-to-date rosters or pay an additional $10 for the online pass, but on the other hand I am one of those people that buy Madden, NHL, and FIFA every year because I'm a big sports fan so they get my money every year regardless due to my weakness of indulging in this genre. Although I feel that EA produces great titles like Battlefield 4, than they follow it up with Hardline that just sucked compared to BF4. Both corporations are obviously businesses and are in the business of making money so they do whatever they can to keep churning out whatever sells an example of this is in the past yearly updates of subpar Assassins Creed games and in EA's case subpar yearly instillments of sports titles. The other thing is that people including myself compare EA to other great companies such as Rockstar/2k, or Bethesda who countlessly churn out great products and support their titles over a longer period of time.

It's what internet and social media culture has created. The sooner social media dies the better the world will be (I know it will never die).

Ubisoft and EA take very few risk and usually give you the bare minimum value for your money or try and nickel and dime you for content. I think the "hardcore" or "power" gamer community is sick of the sequels and the ruining of franchises (in the case of EA).

We have to realize that making games is very risky and publishers will always make games that sell first, as that makes it easier for them to appease their shareholders and stay in business. The hate is probably unwarranted in some cases for sure.

I can understand how you got to that negative point of view, our society does incite it, but if you believe in free will as a human than surely you know that human nature can be changed, at will.
