Personally, this is both great and bad news :( I was hoping to just buy Earthworm Jim HD, but being blindsided by NeoGeo BC (which I was previously planning to buy on the PS2), I NEED to get both!

Yeah I was definitely surprised to see Neo Geo Coliseum available today on XBLA. I'll be grabbing that one for sure.

I have Neo Geo Battle coliseum for the PS2, thought it was a pretty good fighting game, but it looked pretty awful, or sometimes good..just mismatched. Apparently they've smoothed the sprites and I think added a few characters? I'm gonna check it out soon, probably will get it when I can.

I was shocked by Battle Coliseum. I wasn't expecting it at all, hell last time I heard anything about it was from Destructoid, mentioning they weren't sure if we were getting it or not any time soon. I downloaded it along with Earthworm Jim, Snoopy Flying Aces, and Serious Sam HD. (it was on sale for 800 pts) I love the XBLA, it always manages to overwhelm me with awesome when I hop on to shop. Battle Coliseum looks really good for a SNK fighter, definitely their best downloadable fighting game effort yet in terms of presentation. They have 3D backgrounds, and the characters are not a blob of pixels, either.

Just played the trial. The game looks 100% better. Really. Huge improvement. Also translation is better too. Ha. Ai is one of my favorite video game characters, dropping tetris pieces and using props from all the Neo Geo games. As usual with crossovers, Samurai Shodown characters are a tad overpowered, but it's whatever. It's still a fun a great game. Worth the 10 dollars I definitely say.

Just as a warning, the arcade mode boss is a "SNK Boss", in case that wasn't obvious. I mean, wow.

Oh yeah, he's no fun. But when you lose, if this is like the ps2 version, I believe you can give him like 1/3rd health which makes it easier.

1/4 health, and even then he beat me three more times before I got it. I can only get anywhere with him playing as K'. (that forward transport/slide he has gets past the lightning bolts) It's still a fairly fun game though, for only ten bucks. Now when is Capcom getting SF3: TS on here?

I didn't even realize there was an EWJ remix in the works. Pretty cool of them, I just might get it, but I think I'd be more comfortable with a Dual Shock controller in this case. I don't play too many XBL arcade games, but the 360 controller doesn't seem well suited to 2D games in my opinion.

I'm just curious, what does "SNK Boss" mean anyway? I never played the SNK series myself, so I'm going to take it as a really difficult boss, right?

Even though the sprites look a tad blurry (for HD scaling I suppose), It's all so clear and sharp. It really benefited from the upgrade.
