It will be my only purchase of the Spring, over L.A. Noire, Crysis 2, and Homefront. And I've already got it pre-ordered (Fallout pack FTW).

It seems a lot better than any of the other multiplayer shooters that have been coming out lately.

I may or may not get it. The cIass objectives, potential focus on balance (things like making no weapon a one hit kill) as well as their "SMART" system all look like pretty good features.
Hopefully the other features and an interesting selection of items will make the game worth it.

The shooting mechanics might be pretty boring, but SMART and other things could make up for it.

correct me if im wrong but to me it seems like its an online open world with a constant war going on at all times so when you log in you are right in the thick of it and can either go to front lines or side missions that can help turn the tides of battle. i still dont see if once you choose a side if your stuck on that side and if there are any "level up" type stuff going on.

Im pretty sure its like other shooter with your typical matches not an mmo. What you may be thinking of is that supposedly the single player is mixed with mp. How I am not sure they havent talked about sp in a long while.

Such levels of customisation will likely have craptons of imbalances, so unless the devs are going to keep working on balance long after relase, I'd be worried.

Seems like a great concept so far, a sort of mashup of Call of Duty 4 and TF2, but I will wait on the reviews to see how balanced the classes are, since that will determine if the game itself is great.

Interesting thought. When this game was announced, there was a statement made by one of the developers that Brink will 'revolutionize" the FPS genre, thus the double meaning in the logo: "Revolution Begins." It looks pretty unique, but do you think it can really revolutionize first-person shooters?

revolutionize....that will only be known once played. i do see how they are maybe trying to make a fps online only. the toon customization is a first but i agree with an earlier statement that if you cant see your toon whats the point of customizing. a problem i see is the revolutionary team will most likly have more people then the security forces. this might be a game i anticipate but will have to resist the urge to preorder until i see reviews

A unique fps, that actually tries new things...i will buy it on principle alone, games need to try new things.

I'm not really one for fps, but this one has caught my attention for some reason. I will wait for the reviews though before making any hasty decisions.

The name Bethesda is enough reason for me to buy it. I also like the fact that it doesn't look like every other shooter out there. The genre has become pretty cookie-cutter as of late.

It got my attention a while ago, but I haven't read about it much since and it was just a few pictures and vague explanation at the time. I was thinking at the time that it sounded like it could be very good or pretty bad.

It looks good, but it's not a pre-order for me. I'm 99% sure it'll be a great game, but I want to read the reviews before I decide whether it's a purchase or a rental for me.
