Poll To all the shooter fans out there, will you be buying Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 or Battlefield V? (60 votes)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 12%
Battlefield V 28%
buying both of those games 10%
Not interested neither of them 48%

Just as the title says, I just want to see what Games Discussion users here thinks and for me, I like what I'm seeing and hearing from Battlefield V is bringing to the table. So Battlefield V has my vote as a day one purchase.

Not feeling on Black Ops 4 but might get it on a sale down the road.

If the SP turns out decent, I'll eventually buy BF.

COD I have zero interest in.

While I’m very disappointed in them ditching the single player campaign in Black Ops IIII if I do pick up one of these games it’ll be BO IIII. I’m kind of waiting to see more on the Battle Royale mode to know if it’ll be something that I want to get or not.

Used to get both every year but burnt out on COD after Black Ops 2. I'll definitely be getting BFV. If my son picks up COD I'll check out his copy though. After a few years away it might be able to pull me back in.

i'm almost certainly getting BFV unless some EA-related bullshit comes to light before it comes out

I've never been less interested in a CoD entry than I am in BLOPS IIII

Neither is looking great from what has been shown, but I have more faith in BF V. No interest in COD unless their battle royale mode turns out to be something special.

Neither are even remotely interesting to me personally. Not against the topics shooters I'm just not into Military FPS games.

Only upcoming FPS games that I have my eye on is Metroid Prime 4, and SCORN: Part 1.

And the last one I invested in was Quake: Champions because I like fast paced Arena shooters.

BFV.

Trouble with Black Ops is that the games glorify murder and killing. Its sickening.

In Battlefield games, although the action is arcadey, they still give us the reality of the battlefield. War is bad, war is horrible. People die.

Imo only mentally unbalanced people can enjoy Black Ops games.

I haven't bought either series in a while and don't see a reason to change that.

that's a negative ghost rider davillain-.

no interest in mp so they'd have to have a decent campaign.

i picked up ww2 for a bit of a trip down nostalgia lane to the early days of cod 1 and 2. it was fun enough but i have no interest in the blops setting and no sp === no sale.

i'm struggling to think of a campaign from a battlefield game i enjoyed, not even the bad company games. battlefield1 was bang average.

so sadly nos all round from me

Not interested in either of them. I'm tired of iron sight-heavy walk/stop and shoot first person shooters.

I think my next fps will be Insurgency: Sandstorm. This years Call of duty reveal made me physically cringe. And this years battlefield doesn't look particularly exciting. My first thought was battlefield hereos when i saw the reveal. I could be wrong about battlefield, this is all based on trailer impressions the gameplay could be way better.

I've mostly stayed clear from Battlefield and Call of Duty for a while. I made the mistake of playing Battlefield 1 because I was interested in the setting. But I didn't find it to be anything special. The campaign was underwhelming and the online was just the same crap I remember the last time I tried playing a Battlefield game online. I'm still tempted to play Call of Duty WWII, but I know it's going to be a similar situation, even though I've really wanted to play another WWII game since Call of Duty: World at War.

Anyway, I haven't even seen trailers or anything for Black Ops 4, but I'm not interested in the slightest. The first Black Ops game was actually the last CoD I bought. Battlefield is hardly even tempting me with its WWII setting. I expect it to be Battlefield 1 but with a WWII-ish setting instead of a WWI-ish setting. So no thanks to either.

Without a campaign, there's no reason for me to spend money on Black Ops.

I might pick up Battlefield V. It sounds like they're doing some really cool and interesting things with that game, and I've always preferred Battlefield's multiplayer to Call of Duty, but..it's EA. If there's one company I'd trust to completely f*** up what should be a great game, it's EA. (Though, Activision does seem to be gaining on them.)

Definitley Battlefield V. Wasn't very impressed with the trailer, but I am hoping it was more for the customization you can do. I'm hoping it's pretty authentic like BF1.

No SP, no party for CoD: BO4. I may get it eventually, but not at launch. Was always a CoD guy over BF, but BF1 was amazing and I'm hoping BFV follows.

It’s cod for me. Haven’t played one since black ops 2 but the battle Royale, zombie modes and character style mp have me really interested. I owned battlefield 1 but fell off really quick so won’t bother with this one.

I've skipped the last few years of Call of Duty, and while i enjoyed Battlefield 1, i don't find a game inspired by World War 2 to really hold my attention at this point anymore.

Call of Duty died years earlier after World at War. Although Battlefield V looks freaking awesome. Big Battlefield fan,not interested anymore in Call of Duty, same repetitive shit year after year.

While BO4 is not exactly what most all of us wanted, including me, I think it'll be interesting to see the direction it takes. It definitely looks better than some of the more recent Call of Duty games, hence WWII and... ughhh... Infinite Warfare, although taking out the single player campaign is a bad choice in my opinion. I loved the campaigns, and yeah, they are putting in Blackout, but c'mon, do we really need another Forkknife? Zombies I'm really looking forward to, however; it looks really good compared to Shadows of Evil. So yeah, I am excited for BO4, but it's definitely not what I would say is "ideal."

I've never really been a big fan of Battlefield, mainly because it lacks local split screen multiplayer AND bots and that's all I play, since I don't want or need Xbox Live Gold to play online. It's a solid series, but I'm a geek for Call of Duty (pre-Ghosties, although BO3 is an exception).

I wouldn't feel good about buying the O3 for 70+€ when COD is just making the same thng over and over. Maybe around 40€ I would be willing to buy it

The woman in battlefield V has a prosthetic arm and is apparently a sniper, lol. I'm gonna buy this game.
