the regular first one in the arcades or the first one on snes...screw turbo and but championship made the bosses playble so i liked that but the game mechanics got um harder to do..
the new challengers was ok but i didnt really like the new characters...
actually i remeber there used to be modded SF2 aracdes cabinets where you could do haduken and shoryuken in the air anywhere thats the best one lol..
I'd have to say
1 Virtua Fighter
2 Super Street Fighter II
3 Samurai Showdown
never could really get into mortal kombat, always seemed it was just about gore and finishing moves. Tekken and Soul Calibur are fun, but they dont make my top 3. maybe a tie for 4th.
On the preferred system, no order -
1. Street Fighter II
2. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
3. Super Smash Bros.Melee
4. Tekken 2
5. Mortal Kombat 2
6. Marvel vs Capcom 2
7. Marvel Superheroes vs Street Fighter
8. Capcom vs Snk 2
9. Tekken 3
10. Killer Instinct Gold
Honorable Mention: Street Fighter IV, super smash bros.
Tough choices here, but I'd have to say:
1. King of Fighters 98: Ultimate Match
2. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
3. Virtua Fighter (a lot of nostalgia makes this rank so far up, but still a great game)
its quite hard for me to pick but in no particular order
1 ) Street Fighter Zero 3
2 ) Marvel Vs Street Fighter (the later MvsC games are too frantic, and frankly unbalanced for my tastes)
3) Dead Or Alive/Dead Or Alive 2 ( I like both just as much)
notable mentions go to the Virtua Fighter series , Xmen vs Street Fighter, Vampire Savior, etc.
1. Marvel vs Capcom 2
2. Killer Instinct
3. Tekken 3
combos, fast paced, skill based, etc.
Streert Fighter just never had quite the same appeal to me, although SFIIT did up the speed a bit, it is non combo based....
The Street Fighter Alpha series is VERY GOOD as well though
so I will give #4 to Street Fighter Alpha 3
I will give you 10
1.Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike
2.Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
3.Super Smash Bros Brawl
4.Super Street Fighter 4
5.Super Smash Bros Melee
6.Street Fighter Alpha 3
7.Soul Calibur 2
8.Tekken 3
9.Street Fighter 2 Turbo Hyper Fighting
10.Mortal Kombat PS3/360
noice first person i meet that likes wrestling games that much kick ass i used to play one for the 64 forgot the name but yeah thumbs upJessey-StoneYou are probably talking about No Mercy, everybody loves that one ;). Unfortunately for me, I have never been able to play it :( as I always lacked a N64. I will definately have to play it someday though. For other games, it could have been WrestleMania 2000 or Royal Rumble (I believe there indeed was one on the N64 as well, although the guy a few posts after yours mentioned one on the SNES :). Wrestling games are really fun! Wrestling fan or not, I recommend them. :)
