But what am I supposed to read when I go to the toilet? T_TGodModeEnabled:lol: You'll be stuck with the back of the box, so better make it a quick poop.
I agree for the most part, I personally like reading the thicker, nicer looking manuals, but a price drop in games would be worth getting rid of manuals for me.i think this is a good idea. Personally, i either lose the manual or nevber open it. with no manuals and recycled cases, maybe we can ge the price of games dropped a little? cmon lol huh huh *nudge nudge*

I do like a good game manual, but I suppose if they want to make an initiative to help with the environment, it's fine with me. The recycled cases thing is good (as long as that doesn't mean flimsy cases). I'm surprised not all the companies have started doing that yet. And this should [hopefully] mean a drop in price. If it doesn't, well, that's a bit of a rip-off.
I havent seen a proper instruction manual since the ps1 so i dont really care. Its a smart choise nevertheless.PessuYou didn't look at many of the games from the past gen have you?
Most of my game purchases these days are through digital distribution, with Steam, where there are no physical manuals. I don't mind at all. However, this means that everything necessary to play the game should be contained in the game, itself, or accessible online. Not enough companies digitize their game manuals and make them accessible through Steam, which does bug me somewhat.
I don't remember Ubisoft having any great manuals anyway...now if Bethesda did this or this happened to some RPG games like Dragon Age or NWN 2....that would sucksmerlus
I agree entirely with this guy - but reckon cost of a game without hard copy 'paper' manual should = lower game retail price, & costminimum 10% less.
Lets not forget, ubisoft is a business, the real reasons for this initiative is itssaving them ('the publisher') money 1st and foremost, them saving the world is a distant 2nd.

That thing was like 400 pages long, I would have been pretty lost in the game if it wasnt for the manual. Trying to learn the ins and outs of hundreds of spells and all the different classes of characters you can play. Manuals should be mandatory for rpgs.

So that's probably why I couldn't get into BG2... I bought a cheap edition with no manual :(

I don't know if the games published by Ubisoft need an instruction manual anyway, I just know that Ubisoft is desperately trying to have a better reputation while they are responsible for "you-can't-play-this-because-Ubisoft-says-you-need-to-be-online-for-single-player, you-need-to-have-a-lot-of-disadvantages-because-you-can-fck-yourself and we-want-to-get-money-by-collecting-your-data" games. I think I'll just buy used games (old ones of course) of Ubisoft in the future, they don't deserve 1 penny. I already regret every single game I purchased, but hey, I'm not a fortune teller.
