True. In comparison to KotOR's story, KotOR 2 was quite poor. Plus some dialogue wasn't that good. Hard to believe how some of those glitches and bugs go into the game as well.

Obsidian has had experience with Fallout though, and with old devs returning, should be great.

there is no comparison with KOTOR 2. Obsidian was given less than a year to make a sequel to KOTOR and frankly i dont know of any developer that can turn out a full bug free RPG in 12 months. Now take into account something like NWN 1 vs NWN 2 and Obsidian made the better story. Follow that up with NWN 2 MOTB and most pc players at the time where saying that Thw witcher and motb were 2 of the greatest rpg's thave have come out in a long time. Fallout New Vegas is abso-****ing-lutely going to have a better story than anything Bethesda has made in the last 5 years.

I tend to forget about Obsidian only having a year to make KotOR II. Looking at it that way, it was a pretty damn good effort. Whenever I thought of their 12 month deadline, I only ever associated it with the negative.

Thinking about it now, Obsidian, while young, have quite a lot of experience, having worked off Bioware and Bethesda.

Until they show the shooting is actually good, I won't bother to care. Fallout 3 used VATS as a crutch so we shall see if Vegas learns from that mistake. Oh, and I sure hope there are more types of guns in this one too.

Thought I read that they are redoing the shooting or at least making it fun. Maybe VATS will turn into more of a side thing instead of the only thing to do.

Well they also said the difficulty is going to improve. I noticed that VATS made the game a cake walk until some of the DLC came out with ghoul reavers, albino radscorpions and....those one type of super mutants. No longer was a couple shots to the head a end-all option. It was better to shoot them in the leg to slow them down and then run backwards firing.

Yeah they have introduced a new "Hardcore" difficulty. And it is not just extremely hardcore, it can be very easy hardcore, normal hardcore, extreme hardcore, etc. Now, you need to drink water to keep from dehydrating, you need a doctor's bag to heal your limbs, and I believe it will be harder to kill enemies

To be honest i do like some of the hardcore aspects but i dislike some others.

I think it will be better if they increase the difficulity and the level cap, so you kill monsters to get better,

Atleast the hardcore gamers will enjoy this new feature. Now they can experience a post-apocolyptic world just a little more better.

Yeah they can enjoy it and stop whinning about "dumb down"and dumbded down, atleast i hope it results to that and not backfire as a hit and miss tactic.
