I have found that the best method of treating an OCD is to force the undesired situation upon yourself repeatedly until you grow out of it.
I use to be like this with blankets and pillows. The inside of my pillows had to be flat and without any lumps. My blankets and sheets had to be perfectly straight on the bed and the pattern or lines on the blanket had to be running straight up and down even if they were made to go side to side.
And i actually pinned the sheet corners to the matress because i was terrified they would pop off while i was sleeping.
Not even joking.
