People who think they do can say it all they want but video games became popular in the early 90's.  Look at the u.s. crime chart.

According to this the true hypothesis is if it decreases violnce

Maybe video games DO cause violence, but crime rates are going down for a whole lot of other reasons (better police, better technology to stop crimes... etc)

It would make sense that there are some people that are influenced by Video Games, but those people are most likely mentally sick.  For us normal people who just like to play games and have fun, no.  I don't think Video Games have anything to do with voilence in our community, that is a conservative way of thinking.

I don't believe videogames are the sole cause of violent behavior.

On the other hand, I wouldn't doubt that some games may bring out or enhance more aggressive tendancies in a person.  Everything we take in and experience affects us to some degree whether we want to admit it or not.  It's just a matter of how you choose to deal with it I guess.

Well certain people have issues...but I can guarantee you nobody has ever played Halo and got hypnotized to the point he took a shotgun and started killing people.

No, video games do not cause violence. People tend to be violent by nature. It is whether you are more civilized or not that retards this nature. Let's look at the past long before video games and the violence that took place, ie the Romans, the crusades and the roaring 20's gangsters just to name a few violent times.
