Lots of people seem eager for valve to have a monopoly on selling digital pc games... That seems like a horrid idea. I use Steam, Origin, and uPlay - they are all totally fine. Sure they have their issues, but steam was garbage when it launched too... Things take time.

I'm not a fan of a bunch of stuff EA does but I have to say that Origin has grown on me. The client is pretty solid. I understand that EA's rep hurts them, but I really haven't had a problem with the service over the years.

@elheber: it is a great game and much, much better with mouse and keyboard = no action wheels and much better camera control.

BUT, there are lots of people claiming multiple problems running the game on all different PC configurations, mostly weaker setups near to the minimum requirements. i have had a few DirectX Errors out of 100+hrs of playing but others are claiming they can't get through the intro and are stuck at other certain points. if you have at least as good of a setup as mine then i would go for it. >check signature to compare

**** Origin, you can close it after launching the game or set up Inquisition to launch without it. gives me no problems though.

There are far worse devs and publishing companies than EA. Ubisoft comes to mind. DAI is pretty good. It certainly has its flaws but at least it's not the same copy/paste game being released every year.

@xantufrog: I'd buy the game on PC if it were on Steam. The game isn't the problem. Its PC exclusivity to Origin is.

This sums up my feeling. I've been boycotting EA for years. The biggest reason for this is simply that I refuse to buy a game through Origin. It really pisses me off that the only way to buy or play some of their games is through Origin. If I could buy and play some of their games without going through Origin, I probably would have given up my boycott by now. As it is, my game backlog is big enough that I already have more games to play than I have time to play them without EAs games.

If it's been dead a few weeks, don't dig it up. It starts to smell.
