Any good western RPG's besides, The Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and The Witcher.

Tons but it'd be better if you could be a bit more specific on what you're looking for. The genre is vast. Also platform of choice limits your selection a bit. Out of the top of my head, some great recent ones: Tyranny, Pillars of Eternity, Divinity: Original Sin, Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun Dragonfall (the best of the three), Shadowrun Hong Kong, Path of Exile, Grim Dawn.
@darktruth007: I think Gothic 1 was a bit better. Yes it has unintuitive controls but I got used to them and played Gothic 2 on classic controls too. I think the setting was much more unique and interesting in Gothic 1 and I liked how you could become a dark mage. Still Gothic 2 is a great game and it's even better with night of the raven expansion installed (the Gothic 2 Gold edition includes the expansion and can be found on GoG). Still it's a bit old and that may be off-putting to younger players.
@knightofastora: Horizon: Zero Dawn doesn't seem like an RPG to me. It seems like an open-world action game instead.
If you like role playing then I can point at some older games but if you do not care about role playing and just want pretend then you can stick with your list.
i've got bad news for you, if your older rpgs are video games then they're just pretend too captain hardcore
