I'm just holding out for the [more] customizable weapons and using a golf club.

Nah they would still have to fix the overall writing (it's pretty weak compared to the first two), characters ans story alsoJust fix all the glitches and up the graphics, and youll have the perfect game.

- A darker (or more mature) story plot with more game changing/moral decisions
- Fewer glitches/bugs. I only found this to be a minor problem in F3 though
- More weapon/armour customisation. Armour colours/more styles, weapon attachments
- Improved combat. VATS was fun, but the combat seemed to rely on it
- Plenty more funny/random things, like the Ghoul living in a plunger-filled room
- Weather effects
Transport, drive through weddings, big jackpots and a greater finale !!.. And a better chance of taking enemies down quicker and more efficiently without having to rely on V.A.T.S..

Number one general glitch fixing, just so that it works all properly straight off the bat, but more than that I hope for more music on the in-game radios. Galaxy News Radio was good but didn't have enough songs. More Rat Pack stuff would be great. Other than that, an interesting and varied world map, and a more emotionally engaging plot perhaps.
it wont happen, but id like a full on sequel. new gameplay mechanics, improved animations, and that sort of thing. some things that might happen that id like would include a better main storyline. roaming the wastes and reacting to the different situations of fallout 3 was a lot of fun (and enough of a game in its own right, really), but the main quest ending lacked impact or finality. its part of the package of a game of the scope and eye on immersion of this sort, but i still think it could be done with clever writing and more empassioned direction.
another thing would be an embracing of the vegas setting. setting fallout 3 in our nation's capital gave bethesda the leverage to put in ironic jabs at patriotism and ideologies. the sin city setting of new vegas should allow for obsidian to look to some themes more on the material side of things.
also, new character creation/customization options are always welcome. its fun, for me atleast, to make up some crazy character and play as them for the whole game.

They added "Aiming down the sights." Now, people wont have to rely so much on VATS.. There you go..Transport, drive through weddings, big jackpots and a greater finale !!.. And a better chance of taking enemies down quicker and more efficiently without having to rely on V.A.T.S..

More guns and gore, like if you shoot a guy in the head, chunks come out instead of the whole thing exploding like a grenade. And also your character must have more Speech options, I thought that in FO3 the NPC's Spoke too long without any input from the Character
