What Final Fantasy has the best story?

I want to know because I'm planning a christmas list and I have only played 1,2,7,10 and 12 but I haven't finished any of them.

6 has the best story.

I'd say VI. It's my favorite overall in the series, so I might be a little bias toward it, but I loved the story in that one the most.

VIII was really good! Might be my favorite...but ask me tomorrow and it could change. IV, IX, X, and XII are up there too!

VI is still my favorite. Kefka is an awesome villain.

FFVI has the best story, without a doubt, closely followed by IV and IX. Best gameplay... that's a tougher one.
