F2P (that I bought lifetime/gold accounts for)
@chaos__shadow: EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers by far the most value for the money, even w/ TRI BOXING and 3 ACCOUNTS at $15/month lol.
Was worth every penny, every argument w/ the girlfriends :) What a great game. The only online game I don't regret spending time on.
PC
Excellent choice. I played that game to death and multiplayer was so fun.

Thanks! Yeah, it was an amazing game. It was the only game I've ever been "best" at amongst all my friends. I think it's because I treated it like a fight sim instead of a "Flying FPS". I would do barrel rolls to lay mines, hang upside down on ceilings to hide, and generally be sneaky sneaky. :)
For me it's...
Fallout 3 (even though I bought it, sold it (sacrilege!) then bought the GOTY. First playthrough 160 hours, second 140 hrs, third 120 hrs. Greatest Video game ever made IMO)
Forza (1, 2, 3 and 4 (not 5). Just can't get enough of chosing a car and a track at random then doing 30 laps trying to get the best time I can)
Halo (although have ploughed a lot of money into CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4 and MCC so this probably shouldn't be 3rd on my "best value" list)
GRID Autosport (IMO the best racer on the 360, bar none, plus only cost me £17 from LIVE!)
Skyrim (paid £20 - probably about 80 hours in before I got my xboxOne)
I got the Half-Life Generations pack (Half-Life, Blue Shift and Opposing Force) for 50p from a charity shop. Best damn 50p I've ever spent as all three games were new to me.

Totally agree. Opposing Force is my second favorite FPS of all time after TCII, just barely ekeing out Half-Life for the number two spot. Totally slays. Blue Shift is pretty meh, but all together it's a steal.
@Lulu_Lulu: That happy that I responded to you? Just been sitting there waiting for it huh. Sad lol..... Get a life.
To the actual contributors, you guys are some true gamers. Logging 500+ Hours.... wow.
@Expane: I typically feel the same way about MMOs. Regret playing them. Interested in Elder Scrolls Online though if it would ever release for consoles. But since GTA V Heists finally released, that gives me hope for ESO
@xantufrog: I see it as a mixture of both. I don't primarily play games I don't enjoy for very long.
I'm not much for the typical MMOs. I like active action requiring skill to evade and attack, and tactics. Not just standing in a spot auto-attacking, getting hit and spamming skills. I've heard a lot about Guild Wars and others being great games and people logging tons of hours. And I suck at sports games so don't put much time into those. Easy to see how you can log so many hours in those though.
All the following games I've purchased (minus the 1 free online game), played to a ridiculous degree and replay every once in a while and have gotten a ton of value from...some of them I'm not sure why I love them so much.
