I can't really comment on this one. Not huge on listening to soundtracks but will post anyway. :)
Halo 2
World of Warcraft
(these two are the only videogame soundtracks I’ve ever purchased - flawless)
Project Gotham 2
(a lot of love and care went into these mostly indi choices)
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
I really appreciate the soundtracks to just about any Tom Clancy branded videogame. The sense of urgency and patriotism they convey really sets the mood - which is what a soundtrack is supposed to do.
While not an official soundtrack to a game, I downloaded this on my OG Xbox for Burnout 3 and it fit perfectly.

*Assassin Creed 2
*Blue Reflection
*Zelda Twilight Princess+ Skyward Sword
Though I think a similar thread was made late into 2018 on GD I do like the interest in gaming music. Far too many to name honestly, I love a good gaming sound track. Really gets my blood pumping for good games. Will try to name and share a few-
Nier Automata, Katamari Damashii, Shadow of the Beast, CastleVania games, Unreal, Bare Knuckle, Sonic Mania, Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2, Morrowind and Oblivion
Vice city was brilliant
Mega man 2 was an epic soundtrack still to this day.
Skyrim is also very good and suits the world perfectly.
Homeworld, at least for original soundtracks.
The GTA series since GTA 3 tend to have a good collection of licensed songs, and their talk channels are absolutely hilarious.
Sleeping Dogs has a great soundtrack with a variety of rap, rock, classical, electronica and pop.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Yeah, that soundtrack is incredible... suits the game perfectly.
And more recently, RDR 2's soundtrack was pretty special.
@clefdefa: What's your favorite list of Soulborne ost? I've noticed most have different favorites.
I really like the Omen and Bloodborne, Amygdala, Blood Starved Beast, Celestial Emissary, Ebrietas, Lullaby for Mergo and Maria from the Astral clocktower
For Dark Souls I like a lot Slave Knight Gael, Intro for 3, Lord of Cinder, Abyss Watchers, Lothric
World of Warcraft has had fantastic soundtracks since vanilla. I've also enjoyed Dark Souls too. Kingdom Hearts and FF ones I routinely listen to.
I'd go with SFII, it has so many memorable themes.
Every piece of music became associated with a specific character, and they are all still used 25+ years on.
Too many to keep track of. Like every RPG pretty much.
Nier Automata is my current soundtrack binge though.
Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill Homecoming and Silent Hill The Room.
Sould Reaver has a nice OST too.
And for party days Hotline Miami 1 and 2.
The last of Us has one of the best soundtracks in games imo. Although I would say there's a few of the tracks in the ost that don't work well outside of the context of the game, but that is likely to happen in most games.
I have been playing this game for many years. But recently due to error codes in my laptop, the soundtrack is not playing whenever I am playing the game. Even the game is not running swiftly like before. If I fix Error Code 0X80071A90 with https://errorcode0x.com/error-code-0x80071a90/ that has actually occurred will it solve these problems?
I'll post some examples from some of my personal favourites:
Pop "N" Twinbee
Sparkster
Rise of the Robots (actually had an amazing soundtrack)
Cyvern
KOF 2002 UM
Super Street Fighter 4
