what genesis model is best?

any version except the 3rd one, the first version has a headphone port so thats kinda neat

2nd,I'd say looks the best and I thinks the smallest of the three versions.

Personally I prefer the first Genesis. It's the most classic looking and you get the "High Definition Graphics" marking and headphone jack. It also looks great next to the Sega CD 2. The Genesis 2 is my least favorite, although it looks good next to the Sega CD 2. And I actually really like the Genesis 3 because it's so small. I'm not sure if you can use a Sega CD or 32x on it though, so if that is something you may want to do someday you should find that out, or maybe someone here will answer it for you.

This is my personal favorite setup. Mind you that it's HUGE, but I think it looks cool. The Sega CD 2 comes with a little expander to fit the Genesis 1 nicely.

It's hard to pick between the 1st and 2nd, but I'll go with Gensis 2.

the genesis 1 is way better. the stereo headphone jack with volume control is awesome. not to mention its compatible with the original Sega CD front loader. I dont think you can hook up the genesis2 to that one.
