What is the best Final Fantasy game?

It's to decide on one so I'll give a top 3.

1. Final Fantasy Tactics

2. Final Fantasy VI

3. Final Fantasy XII

FFVII, FFIX, FFIV.

Tactics woule be in there, but it is considered to be more of a spin-off than an actual entry into the series.

Cant understand how no one is saying 3 on the Super Nintendo. Ok, 7 was fantastic and 3 is just a little better. 8 is no where close so dont even. 9 is a joke. 10 was ok,but it was more of a adventure game as far as the open-ended aspect of it goes. Now how anyone has the gall to say 12 was the best is beyond me. That game was grade a crap,meant only to anger people and make fun of the FF series itself. ITS 3. THE AWNSER IS 3. 3 on the SNES=VI. It's one of my favorite (in my post above), and several other people have mentioned it. To avoid confusion though, most people refer to it as VI.

well the best in my opinion is, of all of them, FFX. I just think that nothing can beat it when it comes to an awesome storyline and the minigame.

8 and 9 were the best.

thought most people have only played the overrated 7.. its good but not the best :o

and they need to bring atb back where the battle isnt on the same map too.. ff12 shouldnt have changed the fighting

No, I didn't like the battle system. Seemed like they were removing the gameplay because the story was SOOOO good, that something silly like gameplay shouldn't prevent you from experiencing it :roll:.

To me VIII it's the best one, then comes IX and XII which i'm still playing so i can't say. Never liked VII that much and X it's great but too linear to my liking... Older FF's are a must play if you haven't since the 3 are great.

I'd say 1. VI 2. IX 3. IV(I also really like the remake on DS, it is worth while even for those of us who have finished the original a million times).

The only Final Fantasy that matters

I really liked that issue but having that on the cover made it look like the would be #1 and I do agree with who they gave it to though.

I would have to say the best are Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL. Tactics probably had one of the greatest and complicated storylines. The gameplay annoyed me sometimes though. FFXII is just a personal favorite: tons of exploring to do and love the change in the battle system. The architecture of the cities is pretty neat and detailed.:o

FF is my favorite series, so I pretty much like them all though I am only a few hours in to FFXIII because I've been busy with real life things.
