I'm trying to get into a racing game, hopefully a newer one, but quality matters more!

What should I get if you had to choose one on either platform!

PGR3 and 4 are the best ones I played this gen. I think racing sims like Forza and GT are boring as hell.

I'd definitely go with Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Fast, fun and styIish.

Its also a colossal pain in the neck to play. Its nice that the game has no boundaries but it barely has any structure either.

That's exactly what's so great about it. Midnight Club invented open-world racing and it's the only series that actually utilizes the open-world design. If you want closed-off tracks there's plenty of other games to choose from.

I don't like racing games but the only one that almost made me like it is Forza. Have played just about all the big name ones.
