none. Playing with products can't make me feel ashamed but seeing as to what you mean I'll give you a personal example. My cousin easily defeats me in DOA4 even though he is mostly a PC gamer.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - I had to get a cheat just to find the first sword in the Kokiri Village. Couldn't figure out the first puzzle of the game... I've never been more ashamed.
Not to sound like I want all the thunder, but I think that mine is one of the worst.
The worst gaming shame was renting 50 cent bulletproof out of curiosity. It is a mistake I will have to live with forever.

Hey now don't blame yourself. Curiosity is natural. Everyone wants to experiment. The important thing is you didn't go all the way and buy it.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I know it was a tough mistake to learn from, but together I think we can get through this (in a non-homosexual way) We all make mistaes. The important thing is to live and learn from them.

I agree and appologize for nothing. I do not care for homosexuality, and do not want to be perceived as a homosexual. It's just the way I am.

By taking every chance you get to say that you're not homosexual, you're just making yourself look more homosexual. As far as I'm concerned, people only make fun of gays because they don't want other people to know that they are, to a certain extent, gay.Â

I'm not making fun of gays, I just personally find it to be disgusting. I'm sorry if you feel that I am one and if you are trying to find a "life partner" by making your previous statement, I'm sorry but you need to look elsewhere.

Always had this problem with fighting games, that is, problem as in breaking stuff just because I couldn't take a loss. :|

never completing final fantasy ix by myself but i came so close but my sisters kept playing my game and they did this to pokemon when i had my gameboy
and also saving over peoples game when they got in front of me
I'm ashamed for becoming a video game addict, specifically to WoW. I'm not ashamed to play games and still play, but I am ashamed at the fact that I got so hooked that I damaged my life. I did have a good time with the game and it gave me some unique experiences and memories, but I'm ashamed to look back at what I let it do to me. I spent over 3,000 hours playing. I also regret the amount of time I wasted trying to get the best item in the game -- tough to explain if you aren't familiar with the game but it required two extremely rare random item drops to get the sword as well as thousands of gold worth of mats. I only had one of the two drops but elected to spend hours and hours and hours spread out over weeks to accumulate the mats needed to complete the sword... the other one of the two drops never appeared, so all that time was wasted for pretty much nothing.
Runner-up would be looking up the answer on the computer to a part in Zelda OoT I was stuck on... I can't ever fully forgive myself for cheating during the best game I ever played, not to mention one that in hindsight really wasn't overly difficult

I'll escort you to the gallows. I bought it... but wait before you condemn me, for my 14 year old rap obessed brother for Christmas though.Â
Well, what I thought was a shame is not being able to get past the tutorials in shogun total war. After that I beat the most difficult historical battle in one go though. It was apparantly a very common problem.
Another one is maybe getting irritated with half life one before the game really started out. I was still busy fighting those small things, and suddenly I ended up against the first shooting tall guys, and I died. I hadn't bought the game, but I can see how I missed something afterwards. (people proclaiming it to be an amazing game and all)
Buying 2 budget PS2 games I knew nothing about, simply because they were on a 2 for AU$35 deal.
The first one, Yakuza Fury/The Ninhaza, I later discovered is a Simple 2000 game. Developed for a total cost of 2000 yen. It's not even listed on GS. Utterly, utterly horrible. Almost at Big Rigs level. I've played early NES beat-em-ups with better mechanics, better story, and better music. The graphics are the only thing that mark it as a PS2 game, but they look late PS1/N64, and animate very very poorly anyway. It's also only 45 minutes long, with no real unlockables.
The second, Assualt Suits Valken, I bought because I thought it was a sequel to the excellent SNES game (known as Cybernator in the US). It was almost the same as the SNES version. I say 'almost', because it has a story/dialogue (which was in the original but cut out for the US release), but horrible localisation and the fact you can download a free, far superior translation (AGTP is a legend, check out Hiouden: LotSK) makes it a moot point. It has a tacked-on new 'intro stage' which lasts a minute, is laughably easy, and utterly pointless. The worst part is though, the rest of the game is exactly like the SNES version, but the graphics and music were 're-done', making them WORSE than the original. The freaking SNES version was better, for crying out loud!

I played both once each, let them gather dust in my cupboard for 2 years, and finally traded them in for a '2 for 1' deal at EB and got Deus Ex a week ago. So luckily there was a happy ending. I'll never wash the stink of epic fail out of my games cupboard though.

Lol, your sig reminded me of the time I was frantically searching for benchmarks comparing Voodoo and Power VR chipsets, trying for months to figure out which would be better. As if it mattered.
Don't worry. I have no idea what to do after the getting out of the village in that game.Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - I had to get a cheat just to find the first sword in the Kokiri Village. Couldn't figure out the first puzzle of the game... I've never been more ashamed.

I'm with you, I lost all of my friend 50 lives in a single level, in Super Mario Bros 2, under 10 minutes.
Mine would have to be I was never able to complete Contra for the NES. It kicked my ass violently as a kid and it still does to this very day. Oh, I am so ashamed! *breaks down crying*Inu7
You're not alone. All the old Contra games were an absolute *****.Â
World of Warcraft. Really is a great game, but damn I wasted alot of my valuable youth playing that. When I crawled out of my gaming dungeon 9 months later; all pale, skinny, and w/ long hair; couple of my friends didnt even recognize me.

Friend:Â Hey man, it's Friday night. Everyone is going to be there, I have some girls ready to party, drinks on me. Lets roll!
Me:Â Â Â Â Â Â Naw, I think Ill stay in. Ive got a big raid tonight.
Friend:Â Â A big what???
