RPG with Western influences: Demon's Souls (or Dragon Age Origins if people find it weird choosing a Japanese game for this category)
Puzzle: Braid
3D Platformer: Super Mario Galaxy 2
2D Platformer: Super Mario Bros. 3
Action RPG: Kingdom Hearts
Racing game: Crash Team Racing
FPS: Bioshock 2
Horror: Dead Space
Fighter: Super Smash Bros. Melee
Brawler: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game (hello, avy)
RTS: Age of Mythology
Adventure: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Stealth: Metal Gear Solid 4

A shocking number of new games, hmm, shenanigans on myself, it seems.
