What is your favorite Online shooter?

mine is cod 4, and killzone 2. i made this thread because im looking for some new ones to play and i wanted to see what is good... in other peoples opinion

As you probably guessed this thread will get alot of Modern Warfare 2's which is mine but some games you might want to try out that are alot of fun are Left for Dead 2, Rainbow six vegas 2, Borderlands, Halo:ODST, MAG (played the beta and it was alot of fun)

Right now its Killing Floor. But I probably put more time into Team Fortress Classic than any other online FPS.

I think the Battlefield games are the pinnacle of multiplayer shooters. BF1942, BF2, BF2142 - All first class games.
Team Fortress 2 on the PC is also an amazing game, which I recommend.

Mine are MW2 and Borderlands.

Been a very long time since I played an FPS online competitively, all the rampant cheating, see thru wall haks, aiming bots and whatever else more or less stopped me playing them online altogether.

Due from the fun I had with it though, I got to go with Quake, the first one.

Left 4 dead for the PC is my favourite over 500 hours of playtime I have had the game since May.

It's still Call of Duty 2. Loved that game so much.

Halo3(luv BIG maps & vehicular carnage!!).

I played a free one. It was called Operation7, and I loved it.

Gears of War 2 and COD4:MW2.

Yes, there are. Once in a while, I get a game with only two to four players a side, but I can exit that game, and immediately find full games. I have found full maps to be no problem in the hours I have played; 12:00 pm to 12:00 am.

For what you can buy it for now, the single player alone, is worth the price of admission.
