It wasnt made before 2000 but the gamecube is my favorite old console.

Playstation for never having a dull moment and changing the market, plus games improved so much over those six years they just kept squeezing more out of it :).
Well then that just shows how good those few games were. Personally, I chose SNES. But Dreamcast is still a helluva system, IMO.I always find it funny how many people say dreamcast considering it only had games made for it for like.... 2 years?

I'm sure it was great, but it just seems like Sega fans being sentimental to Sega's last system. May have been a great two years, but it was only two years, not a whole lot of really great games ever come out in two years for 3 systems.
PS1 ... I also like the Saturn right now, but it doesn't really compare with the PS1. The N64 is arguably much better than the Saturn though.

Like I said before, I chose SNES as my favorite. So don't get me wrong here, Dreamcast isn't my favorite ever. But I still think very highly of the system. There were a lot of good games for the Dreamcast. Arguably, it had the strongest line of launch titles of any console launch. It definetly had the best arcade ports of any console (yeah, arcade ports could be better today, but not too many games debut on arcade anymore) If you don't think there are many good Dreamcast games, then you need to go and play some of these. Check out this list of great games: -Crazy Taxi -Crazy Taxi 2 -Dino Crisis -Dead or Alive -Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm -Ecco the Dolphin (Okay, I didn't like it, but somebody did because it sold well back then) -House of the Dead 2 -Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver -Maken X -Marvel vs. Capcom -Marvel vs. Capcom 2 -MDK -MDK 2 -Mortal Kombat: Gold -NFL 2K -NFL 2K1 -Omikron: The Nomad Soul -PowerStone -Quake III: Arena -Rayman 2: The Great Escape -Resident Evil 2 -Resident Evil 3: Nemesis -Resident Evil: Code Veronica -Shenmue -Sonic Adventure -Sonic Adventure 2 -Soul Calibur -Spider-Man -Street Fighter III: Third Strike -Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation -Unreal Tournament -Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense -Virtua Cop 2[QUOTE="magnax1"][QUOTE="Emerald_Warrior"] Well then that just shows how good those few games were. Check out this list of great games: -Crazy Taxi -Crazy Taxi 2 -Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm -Maken X -Mortal Kombat: Gold* -PowerStone -Shenmue -Sonic Adventure -Sonic Adventure 2 -Soul Calibur These are the games on the list (you can't put a game u didn't like there. that's cheating) that weren't available on other systems. MK gold got an asterisk for being a port. What?! You are missing a lot of games from that list. Unless you're counting re-releases years later on the PS2 and Gamecube. Which didn't even exist when Dreamcast was out. Or you're counting PC releases, which SOOOOO many games, on SOOOOO many systems had PC versions. As for N64 and PS1 versions, HA! The Dreamcast versions of those games were FAR, FAR superior to their N64 and PS1 counterparts. -Crazy Taxi -Crazy Taxi 2 -Dead or Alive -Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm -Ecco the Dolphin -House of the Dead 2 -Maken X -Marvel vs. Capcom 2 -Mortal Kombat: Gold -NFL 2K -NFL 2K1 -Omikron: The Nomad Soul -PowerStone -Quake III: Arena -Resident Evil: Code Veronica -Shenmue -Sonic Adventure -Sonic Adventure 2 -Soul Calibur -Unreal Tournament There's a more accurate list of Dreamcast exclusives, not counting the games that came out again years later on a newer system. And if that's not a good list of exclusives, than I don't know what is. Again, I didn't choose Dreamcast as my favorite. I was just making a point that it's far from a bad system like somebody said.Emerald_Warrior
I'm not denying its great (though I haven't played it much at all) but what I'm saying is that its kind of odd to say its your favorite considering they only made games for it for 2 years and most consoles get games for 5+ years, so even if those two years were twice as good, it still probably would't stack up.
Wow, Sega Master System. That's one that I see rarely chosen. Cool. I like Master System too (not my favorite, but I like it). What games exactly did you enjoy? My favorite was the little-known Cloud Master. Harder than hell side-scrolling shooter set in the Dynasty era China, but satisfying when you win because of it.N64, PS1, SNES and Sega Mastersystem
