What should be game of the year 2013???

Bioshock Infinite For me .fort these reason :

amazing visual arts ( i don't mean the graphics , i mean the art )

one of the best gaming characters ever : elizabeth

Mind - Blowing Story with earth shattering ending .

amazing use of music .

like , when i finished it , i was looking at the screen with my mouth open for 30 minutes .

last of us was really amazing tho , but i had to finish it in two days because i played on a friend's ps3 .i think overall last of us is really overrated . bioshock was much more artistic and emotional . for me at least .

GTA V was also amazing , i loved it , it was fun .

You know how I feel about cutscenes, I judge it by its gameplay because the Story is just bunch of cutscenes, improving the story may make it a better experience overall but it won't make it a better game. The traveling is is bound to seem dull in comparison to beating up thugs, Perhaps they couldve added some cat and mouse or hide and seek to spice it up. Also whats wrong with the character designs ?

Yep i do know how you feel about those cutscenes :) but i wasn't referring to more cutscenes i meant the story the whole core was just wrong , badly constructed and felt worse than anything Cage could ever produce.

The Travel in AO is actually imo opinion more suited for the area then it was in AC, AC was just bad overall in that area.

And the characterdesigns was cartoonish in AO and those ties :) in ac it was good but could have been improved, dont know why but AA felt more clean to me.

Overkill 2 for the OUYA.

lol, Wow, it must be serious for you to mention David Cage.

Also you never get to interact with 60 percent of the characters anyway, so how they looked never bothered me. My main complaint is how poorly the game handles factions, since you never interact with Joker, two face, Cobblepot, Hugo Strange and Ivy, the least they couldve done is make each faction unique so that in an indirect way the villains play a more prominent role in the gameplay as much as they did in the plot, but nope, all these factions are the same, without the story you wouldn't be able to tell Jokers people apart from the Tiger Guard. The Ku No Ichi (Talia's Guard) was the best they could do to make Talia/Ra's' faction stand out from the rest. They really need to work on that.

To me, GTA V is guilty of failing to progress. While it is huge and a technical achievement, to me, it has failed to progress when it comes to variety in side activities, missions, and mechanics. You are able to golf, participate parachute jumps, but they are not really new, and the stranger and freaks missions are not really creative, at least in my opinion. This is all my opinion though.

While GTA IV did feel small, the expansions bought more things to do and variety. Also, GTA IV added a new cover system and aiming. Also GTA V's single player heists left little choice.

To be fair, maybe i am just not a sandbox kind of person.

Yep, thats how bad i felt the story was even tho i like both cage games.

True, you don't get to interact but you get to see them and for me it looks terrible.

Anyways another thing that is annoying why do we always get the same Batman Villains? how about making a batman without the joker, Bane/Croc or Freeze, if you follow the comics you would know that he has met so many awesome villains and it would be a really interesting move to see something else than the same old.

Anyways Batman AO and Blacklist probably wont even be mentioned in the Goty. Think it will be a contest between Black Flag, Bioshock, Tlou, GTAV and some random you know dont stand a chance.

Sad but true. Also The GOTY is stupid, theres no such thing as one game is better than all the others, comparing all the games is like comparing all the fruit in the world, there all too different to pick just one.

Honestly, I'd give it to Pikmin 3. It has excellent gameplay and god like design.

I find it incredibly difficult to get into games like Bioshock or TLOU. They are too driven by story and that just doesn't hook me in a game.

Assassin's Creed is growing on me, might be a GOTY for my part

Wow all these Goty threads but ok we are in december.

But after playing some more Black Flag i would say either that even tho it really retracts from it that they tried to make it a AC game and not a new ip.

Otherwise my vote is GTA V.

The Last of Us

GTA5 was the best for me, had more fun with it than anything else (SP espically).

Dota 2, Mario 3DW or Zelda LBW for me.

For me it's between BioShock Infinite and The Last of Us

I vote for The Last Of Us. It's a big surprise, I waited this game.

GTA V is a good game but the online was a big disappointment. Splinter Cell Blacklist is not the best of the saga.

Last of Us, followed closely by Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider.

I think it's going to be The Last of Us by the looks of it. I still think personally it's Tomb Raider or AC IV

3) Fire Emblem: Awakening, Tales of Xillia, Zelda: Link Between Worlds, Zelda Wind Waker HD (hero),

4) Bioshock Infinite (hard), GTAV, Pokemon X/Y

5) Killzone Shadow Fall, DMC (hard), Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Wii U)

(Pokemon X/Y moves up/down on the list the most, depending on how I play, what I catch/breed ect....., all others can move too, but not that much)

=>=>=> Metro Last Light, when played on hard has a somewhat overall more intens atmosphere, except for the a few clicker moments... and it's gameplay offers more variety....than The Last of Us on hard....while TLoU is a fresh franchise, it's too much of a mix of "Metro, ZombiU ect...", but with great acting/characters...

(just don't like the fact, that they're getting much so attention, when ZombiU didn't get any last year, which it deserved... even if it's simple-ish..)

=>=>=> Mario 3D World becomes epic, when hunting all the stars & co.....

=>=>=> Tales of Xillia is the best RPG of the year.. (FEA is a strategy game...), while Xenoblade Chronicles is still better than both.. (so is Skyrim..)
