[QUOTE="Slashfan10"]sonic 2 for sega genesissoulless4nowSame here. My copy came with my sega genesis.
Same here. It's been my observation Sonic 2 was Sega's Super Mario/Duck Hunt in that it came with every console by the time the system had really caught on and as a result just about everyone who owned the system owned a copy of the game.
My first console video game (I'm excluding all the old DOS games I played as a kid because I can't remember any of the titles) was Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64. I later got Goldeneye...
Talk about setting high standards eh?
NES with Mario Bros. being my first game ever...got it for christmas when they came out..85 or 6 been so long..
Really hard to remember but it would have been something on the GameBoy, can't remember the names of the games but one was a puzzle game where you contolled a ball bouncing on different types of platforms and trying to get to the exit and the other was a Pac-Man type game where you were tying to make burgers by knocking the layers (bun, patty, pickle) from higher platforms down on to lower platforms while avoiding enemies. Typing this actually reminded me that Pac-Man was one of my first games too.

Alex Kidd in Miracle world (or something :P). It came built-in on my Sega Master System II along with a "Sonic the Hedgehog" game. Good times :3.
Sonic The Hedgehog, which came with the Mega Drive I got for my 7th birthday back in '92. Best birthday present ever.

Yep, back before CDs cassette tapes were the only way to back up large amounts of data onto one piece of media. To retrieve the data the computer would "play" the tape all the way through during which a "loading" screen was displayed. So it's not like the tape was running while you played. Rather you just loaded all the data that was on it first and then you played the game.
It was a game where you fly around a little spaceship and fend off attacks from other space ships! It seems fairly pathetic
now but never having played anything else it seemed fab. The next was a Jedi demoof some sort whichI really liked
but can never seem to locate anymore. Then I bought the worst game of all time probably called Daikatana which broke
my heart as I could not advance more than a hundred yards without being killed by an invisable (on a 15" monitor) host
of frogs, insects and fish. The graphics were truly lousy.
My breakthrough came with a download of Thief: The Dark Project which I will never forget. After that I found Half-life I,
Deus Ex, the visually stunning but really annoying gameplay of Tomb raider, the fab Wolfenstien single-playerand most
recently Max Payne. Now I am quite the expert and have played Doom 3, Quake 4 and some other less worthy first person
single players.
Honestly.. I feel bad for all new generation gamers.
The first system I had was nintendo.. my favorite games were duck hunters, mario, and contra... also the ninja turtle game was pretty fun.
My mom used to own an atari but I was too young to really play that.
Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World on the SNES.shufu7-11God All Stars was such an amazing game
