Bought some stuff off of Temu one of them was a r36s handheld ,which is pretty ideal for my retro gaming needs ...
4 tb and 2tb external USB hard drives for virtual ram on my current computer
PGA Tour 2K25 as well as Persona 5 Strikers. My local game store closed down, so I had to go to another one at Square One (it's the largest mall in Ontario, Canada.) I also saw a place to get pretzels, so I bought one and it was yummy. 😀

if persona 5 was not part of the title I would have thought that was a soccer game ...PGA Tour 2k25 ,had no idea you played sports titles.

Yeah, I like sports games sometimes. I just discovered the golf game that I mentioned, but I also like rally racing and extreme sports games (like Skate, Tony Hawk and SSX games.)
Brought farenheight on PSN the only heavy rain type game I've never played. It was cheap so thought I'd give it a go.
Hello. The last game I bought was RDR2 at a discount on Steam.
I'm excited about this game. It is just incredible. The graphics, physics, story, landscape and just the whole world that is in the game is incredible.
Fire Emblem: Engage and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble. Criticism about the story in Engage is fair, but it's totally fine if you go in expecting Saturday morning anime. Gameplay is top notch though. Banana Rumble might not be SMB2 caliber, but it's the best Monkey Ball in a long time.
Haven't bought anything in a while, been exploring the Gamepass/PS plus menu a lot this year. My next purchase that's guaranteed will be Nightreign.
Sonic X Shadow Generations on XSX which is on sale... I previously bought it on Switch but I just couldn't play it due to the bad framerate.
Also picked up Hogwarts Legacy on sale. I've tried it before and got a bit bored of it, but I'm just playing it here and there and am enjoying it a bit more this time.
An m.2 ssd for game storage, a retro handheld because one of my kids' interest in retro games is blowing up right now

Honestly ,after having had a 360 and wii in the past I've been pretty keen on revisiting on older classics since then too. what's your kids interest in retro like , is it something like a gameboy, gba or psp (it's starting getting around to that title in another 10 years)
@poarstman: NES, Gameboy, 80s arcade games like Space Invaders, Pac Man, Bagman, Donkey Kong. Got friends competing for high scores on that retro handheld too, it's cool to see! Coming home and telling me who beat whose score, etc.
@poarstman: Kids still love fun and being social, it turns out. It warms my heart to see it! I didn't do anything to prompt this or anything, just some schoolmates had some mini arcade machines on a keychain and brought it to school. That gave a thirst for more, so I got a small retro portable to see what would happen.
My kids see me playing retro games and sometimes ask to play, but now there is some real interest and investment. And the chatting of kids among each other in person is nicer to listen to than what you hear from people playing online.
Also this is cool, nerds getting together and making a social gaming environment:
Now that's made with love.

Would love to go to a arcade it's been a good 10 or so years since i've been to one... How have games become like since then exactly in that industry , are they more complex?
@poarstman: The ones in that video are all authentic old games from the 80s and 90s
I have been to some arcades with modern machines. There are a lot of light gun shooters, rhythm games, racing games, which are like older arcade games but updated graphics. There are also mobile style games like Flappy Bird and Doodle Jump but you control it with buttons instead of a touch screen. There are a lot of novelty things like coin pushers too. Looks kind of boring compared to real old arcade games.
I don't really see any modern platformers or run and gun or shmups or brawlers in the arcades of today.
