Would have to go some to beat Seaman. Couldn't quite get the little guy to understand my British accent.

Boogerman would probably be a good example of a very strange game concept.

Deer Avenger on PC... not really an older platform... but the PC I played it on was equipped with a floppy drive so I guess it was a bit of an older platform...

Eh, screw that fish-faced little tosser!

Hmmm, for me, Seaman ranks up there.

Eternal Champions on the Sega CD had a pretty cool concept. It was a pretty standard 2D fighter, but the premise was that karma was out of whack because influential and important warriors died before their time, so the game had CGI pre-rendered cutscenes that depicted each character being plucked from time and space right before their death. Whichever char wins the tournament is rewarded with life and the player gets to watch a pre-rendered cutscene of their character surviving whatever was about to kill them.

The fun part was, you also got treated to a cutscene for each of the other characters getting warped back into their previous situation and dying as had originally occured. How's that for messed up?

Rez for Dreamcast with it's vibrating "accessory" that has a washable cover. Ew.

Omikron for PC. Quantic Dream's first game before Indigo Prophecy/Farenheit. David Bowie did the soundtrack. You played a soul that could jump from body to body.

Honestly there are so many weird, random concept games out there.

Fortunately the game has no text or dialog. Also, as you probably know, it was developed by Delphine Studios in Paris.

Probably the Oddworld games, Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exodus, they where great though. What ever happened to the HD remakes, not heard anything about them in a long time.

That doesn't mean the game isn't hard. It was a tough game to get through regardless. There's no tutorial and no instructions, the game teaches everything through trial and error as well as observation. It was an awesome game, but not easy by any means.
