Borderlands for me, gosh the LAN nights I had with that game was amazing. Also spent a few weekends with a bunch of friends finishing the game with every character and such, good times.
I had a ton of co-op fun with Goof Troop's coop back on the SNES. Myth allowed you to play co-op through the singleplayer campaign, and I had a blast playing it four players - one of us controlling archers, another the foot troops, and then the other two each with a dwarf as the amount of damage you can inflict with those guys is insane as long as you time it properly. More recently, Left 4 Dead, Payday, Borderlands, etc.
L4D or Gears I think, doesn't necessarily mean they are the best games its just I played them with my wife. Streets of rage could be classed as co op too? that was a great game :).
I played goof troop back on the SNES too :D the fights that game caused :lol: (played it with my brother).
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - a true Stealth game with COOP? Tell me when the last time we've seen that? Never. To date its the only one ( well that & the Last Generation version of Double Agents half finished COOP). What a fanstastic experience it was.
Big huge levels. no load times, great graphics, great level design. True stealth, lots of anxiety & suspense, very thrilling lol.
If you don't count League of Legends with friends that I still do to this day, then Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Some amazing Co-op play with 3 friends.
