What was your first gaming addiction?

We all remember and talk about our first game (mine was the Intellevision Donkey Kong), but what was the first game you just couldn't put down; the game that made you say just one more minute every minute?

I can't remember exactly which was I got addicted to first, but it's deffinately between Pokemon Gold (especially with its breeding mechanic) and Dragon Warrior III on the GBC

Im not sure if this game is the first game I was addicted too but its definatly one I am still addicted to today.

I know World of Warcraft is one of the first few. Majora's Mask, probably, too. I liked to play it over and over back then.

Possibly Sonic Adventure 2.

My first gaming addiction? Had to be Chrono Trigger. Stayed up for at least three days, from what I first got the game to beating it.

I'd say Runescape def. I always had a series of addicting games and I think it started with either Runescape or Neopets. Then I moved onto MapleStory for about 5 years, then MW2, now it's looking like Halo Reach =]

I was playing for years already, but I never got attached to any particular game until Vanguard for the 2600

Mario/Duck hunt i use to love playing those . I would come home from school and play all day . Started my gaming there .

Probably Roller Coaster Tycoon. Simply because it was my first time being away at college, and I had no one to tell me to go to bed or stop playing...so, I didn't stop playing.

I rented and owned many games before it, but Zelda 2 was probably my first main addiction. I rent the game 42 weeks in a row from a local video store. I'd very much look forward to every Friday because that was my chance to go to the video store and have another weekend session with Zelda 2. Must've beaten the game over 50 times all the way through. I'd have to say that was probably my first addiction.

My first gaming addiction would probably be LoZ: OoT or Pokemon Red. LoZ: MM & FFVIII would also be on the same level. I'd say the were about as addictive as caffeine lovers addiction to coffee in the morning. Then there was Pokemon Gold, which would be somewhere between caffeine & tobacco addiction.

...Then there was WoW. Played it since released & the longest I've been sober was from early this year until now. I'm about to get back into it because I've been having withdrawals afters reading up on Cataclysm for the past couple of months. I won't say the substance because it's probably censored, but yeah, it's that addictive to me.

Of course, I'm not addicted to any substance, whether it be caffeine, tabacoo or something more extreme, so I wouldn't really know what I'm talking about.

I really got hooked into online gaming when it debuted on the Playstation 2 for the first time.

I was 100% addicted to Everquest Online Adventures and SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals. I can not begin to fathom how many hours of my young life I spent playing those two games. I would pay some serious cash to travel back in time and relive all those moments and absorb all the great nostolgia that goes along with it.

That was truely gaming at it's best.

Moto Racer for PC. Or maybe one of the Twisted Metal games for Playstation.
