If you don't count arcade machines then it would have to be the NES.

My first gaming platform was the NES (and that was in the mid-late 90s) but before that my dad owned the Atari 2600 and I would play that. My favorite game was Enduro. For some reason on the NES I actually liked Back to the Future and TMNT but when I saw the Angry Video Game Nerd's review for the two games I realised how much they SUCK!

MSX. It wasn't released in USA so not a lot of people here know about it. My cousins had an Atari; but as long as I remember, the MSX was my first gaming platform.

The first I ever played was the SNES but it was my brother's or my cousin's (they both had them).

The first I bought with my money was a N64.

the ZX Spectrum, followed by a long period of pc gaming, with no consoles, if you don't count handheld consoles, where the gameboy color kept me warm from time to time. and a year ago i purchased a ps2.

The Atari 2600. Played the heck out that machine. Yar's Revenge - I'm a friggin' master!!! That was quickly followed by a NES where I first played Castlevania - the game that turned me into a junkie. Still play that game.

SEGA Master System 2. I had Sonic built in. My games collection was Spiderman, Sonic, Transbot, Cyber Shinobi and Castle of Illusion. It's amazing how much play time I got out of those few games at that age.

My first gaming platform was one of the Ataris. Not sure if it was a 2600 or something else, but that was quickly followed by the Apple Classic black and white computer that only had 1 MB of total space!
