Mass effect game play is pretty set piece heavy, i dont really like games like that though i did enjoy ME. I like to engage the enemy how i see fit, so i wouldn't mind if the gameplay was more like maybe human revolution, you can observe enemies undetected and see their patterns and decide how to go about killing them, you and your team could have the option of being stealthy or all out carnage mode.

What you guys reckon if the ME4 done away with having 2 team mates to control?

So you would be going it alone through the missions, or maybe have some solo missions and some with team mates. You can even go a step further and have local coop or online coop or just have the AI controlled team mates.

What about if you had the option to have 1st person view?

So feel free to comment on my ideas and add your own.

Cheers guys.

I just want to see this series a new fresh start and not continue from after the events in Mass Effect 3. Bring back MP cause that was my most played Mass Effect 3 MP in 2012, new classes and Alien. The Mako return which is already conform, a new Main Character, bring back the Combat controls from ME3, new Biotic powers, and more variety in squad members. Love Mass Effect series and want Bioware to start new from this point out. BTW, it's not going to be Mass Effect 4, since it's not going to continue from where it left off.

If by chance, I like to see Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered for Xbox One/PS4 at least.

I don't think stealth is a good idea for mass effect. Maybe 1 mission to break the pace but honestly this game isn't about full on stealth. Maybe they can make the infiltrator class more assassin-like but that's about it. They totally need to deliver on the planet exploration part and the most important thing is they need to make us marvel at the vastness of each planet and the diversity of the solar system. If they achieve that then it's all good. The game has to make us feel like we're really there.

Story obviously has to be good and I think they need to innovate on the combat system a little. The combat in 3 was already very enjoyable but they're gonna need to top that so they need to introduce fresh new mechanics, deeper customization, epic classes and weapons, and a large skill tree.

Also, Im expecting bioware to really go all out when it comes to the impact of decisions you make. Previous mass effects already did a good job but this is next gen. Its time for them to put their a-game.

Keep team combat, but balance the RPG elements to suit the combat.

Make the planets larger in size instead of smaller. Exploring was always my favorite thing to do in Mass Effect, and they slowly took it away with each game.

Let us explore each race's culture more in-depth as opposed to snippets form your teammates.

Add political based missions to really explore how everyone interacts with each other.

Make each playable race feel different from each other in terms of movement and potential abilities

@mastermetal777: @BboyStatix: yeh alot more planetary exploration is a must, actually touching down on a unknown planet in the mako was amazing in ME1. We definitely need a bunch more explorable planets with caves and bases etc to explore.

For the franchise to stop (much like many other series: Halo, Call of Duty, Battle Field, Final Fantasy....and the list goes on).

The game lost it's spark towards end of 2nd and throughout the 3rd game. They felt unfinished, especially the side quests, plants you visit and the story puttered out at the end. While I played through them and I had an alright time in the series, pushing through the final game was kind of a dull grind.

I would like for them to improve the RPG elements of it. Yes how you level up a character is apart of the game play. Mass Effect 1 still has the best balance RPG and shooter which made the combat unique and fun. Mass Effect 2 you had only two choice that affect your character role in combat. Despite the refinement to the shooter element, the weakening of the RPG hurt the game play so much.

Not every skill need to be for combat. There should be places that if you did not bring the right character then you can not get into it to get what is inside.

Choices and consequence that are about the game play. I choose to level my character in a way that I do not get the hacking skill then that should have an affect on combat.

Sounds good to me.

Agree with the comments on upping the RPG elements..

Might be good to have space combat missions using the 'Normandy' or whatever they are going to call it...

Oh and definitely yes to the multi-player - but with more team mission types other than kill, fetch, escort, protect.

This. Less focus on shooting, more emphasis on powers and skills.

The balance of shooter and RPG for it game play is what made Mass Effect 1 the best game play for them. I don't want them to to hurt the shooter element or make it secondary like Fallout.

I would like it if there was growth with the weapons. You know not start off as a master of all gun.

Also they need out of combat skill and make them useful.

@wiouds: I found ME 1 to be the best game as far as battle systems go, but ME 2 was a better structured game overall with more polish.

I want both to the RPG and shooting parts of the game play to be great. MY problem with ME2 is that they downgraded the RPG elements of the game play so much that the improvements to the shooting part did not make up for that. I do look at the RPG elements like leveling up as part of the combat.

FOr ME2 they just give your character his/her role when the player pick a class. I good RPG the player and heir choices while leveling should be the largest factor that affect the characters role in the game play. I could come up with a better system.

@wiouds: Agreed. I hope ME4 isn't a full on tps adventure game with a shallow leveling system.

If I was to make a Mass Effect type of game then I would have the leveling system to have two layers to it. One layer is the detailed on what really level your character. The other is a more basic leveling system that just let the system to work the more detailed leveling system for you. That way those that just want to play it more as a action game can still do it as long as the accept the better and interesting builds as something are something the player need to work at.

Choices that MATTER and are carried through the rest of the game in a meaningfull way. No more lies from devs,no more colored 98% identical shitty endings that dont reflect your choices,i want ALL devs working on the ending, not just 2 losers hiding in a closet then hiding behind "artistic integrity*,no space child, dont promise something then try to shoehorn something in there just because your lazy, the ability to create ANY race, not just human, have space battles. What i DONT want is those greedy EA bastards to make a ME mmo,as it would further ruin it,like that shitty TOR ruined KOTOR.

What I would like to happen is keep the AI team mates for the campaign I would also like the option to have AI team mates online because in my opinion the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer was good it just needed the AI team mate option.

A multiplayer local mode would be nice but not essential.

For the campaign mode to be Bioware main focus and for it stay completely offline and for it to be as good as 1,2 and 3 story and interaction wise.

Combat simulator that they had in Mass Effect 3 or something similar within there campaign

the option to be part of the Alliance.

Races I would like to see in the game all the council races

to learn more about Cerberus and the Asari

and to see Sheapard in the game.

To have the paragon and renegade option

To still be a Spectre and make the status mean something I felt in Mass Effect 2 and 3 it didn't really matter if you were a spectre or not otherwise 2 and 3 were very good games.

What I would like them to do is release the Mass Effect Trilogy remastered before Mass Effect 4 so one descions can transfer over.

Time that is spent on scanning planets should be reduced.

Good story, good characters, good choices and hopefully good gameplay. The progression in the game should be improved as well

I'd like to see them beef up the RPG aspects like stats, leveling, and powers, they have the combat down pretty well. Put in a good and varied loot system and ways to craft items. Polish up the multiplayer aspect, ME3's was terrific fun that could use some work here and there.

Get rid of romances, more focus on memorable characters and exploring alien worlds. Also, let us fly our ships at will for once. That's all I want.

@ariabed: I would love to see Bioware actually work on making the choices you make important and not feel insignificant and also work on making a ending that isn't the worst piece of crap ever seen in any game.

And of course remove all that boring and useless relationship nonsense.

1) More RPG elements

2) Create your own character from a selection of races.

What I don't want to see is more multiplayer.
