NES:
-Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
- I can't beat the final dungeon for the life of me! And I'm fully leveled-up! :x

SNES:
-Super Turrican
- A far too easy version of Contra, kind of disappointing.

N64:
-Doom 64
- What most people don't realize: This is an entirely NEW Doom game, it's NOT an N64 port of the original Doom.

Gamecube:
-Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
- I'm lost, I haven't gone back in a week or so now. I've just gotten the "Dark Beam" and recently acquired my jump boots and morph-ball bombs and now don't know where to go. I've also made it past the point where you can open gateways from both worlds (light & dark) to the other.

Wii:
-New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- The best Super Mario game since the first Super Mario World on SNES (not counting New Super Mario Bros. on DS).

Sega Master System:
-R-Type
- Sooo hard. I didn't think they made shoot-em ups this intense back then.

Sega Genesis:
-Rocket Knight Adventures
- The controls are so smooth and addictive, and Konami really knew how to take advantage of the Genesis's hardware.

Sega Saturn:
-Shinobi: Legions
- I love this game. Such an underrated gem on the Saturn. It has that c-l-assic Shinobi feel to the gameplay, but has some of the best looking 2D graphics in the entire series. Plus it has these awesome live-action cutscenes between levels that feel like those 80s/early 90s direct-to-VHS kung-fu movies.

Sega Dreamcast:
-Sword of Berserk: Guts' Rage
- Everyone tells me this game is great. I'm really trying to get into it, but so far it just seems like a repetitive beat-em up, the only difference being that your guy has a very large sword.

PS1 (I really still do have my original Playstation, not playing on PS2):
-Road Rash 3D - Just picked this one up again not too long ago after having sold it in winter of 1999 to help fund my Dreamcast purchase. This game is still a blast. Motorcycle racing, outrunning cops, upgrading your bike, and beating-up racers you can get close enough to with a crowbar. As well as amusing live-action cutscenes between races. Good times.

PS2:
-Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - What is going on?! Things are happening with my fighters and I don't even know how I'm doing it. This game is on crack! Too much sensory input.

XBox:
-MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf
- The MechAssault series is great, I wish Microsoft would have continued it on XBox 360. You get to pilot various Mech-Suits and Battle-Armors in various open-areas with highly destructible environments, blowing everything away in sight with a varied arsenal of destruction. The first one was more fun, IMO, though.

XBox 360:
-Divinity II: Ego Draconis
- This game was so disappointing. It was disappointing because as I started getting into it, I was REALLY enjoying it. It had such potential. But there was one fatal flaw I ran into. No enemies respawned. Now this game was difficult from the get-go. But I got to a point that no matter how many angles and how many times I approached it, I died. And since no enemies in the game respawned, ever, I had no way to level-up to a sufficient enough level to over come it. Game over. I could go no further.

PC - Windows 7 is not compatible with like 75% of my PC games I found out when I got my new computer a couple weeks ago. Anyone want to donate me Hexen and Diablo on PS1? Or maybe Doom II on GBA?

Really?? I didn't know Doom 64 was an entirely new game... I thought it was just a much fancier looking version. So none of the levels are the same or anything? As for Road Rash 3D, I used to have that! you have made me want to play it again now lol :P.

As for me: PS2 - TOCA Touring Car Championship. Got this at a charity shop a few weeks back for £1 I believe. It still surprisingly looks pretty decent for an old game. Before that, Heart of Darkness (which I completed twice in the space of a day). I never completed it before that, and just remembered it as "that game which used to crash years ago and was really hard" :P. Glad I finally played through it all and own it again. Great little game, if a little frustrating at times.

Xbox 360 - Gears of War 3. This game hasn't left my console for the past 2 weeks (almost) and I haven't played any other game since. I have been thinking of playing Guitar Hero/Rock Band again to break things up as it really does feel like I've played it a LOT).

you should try Dos-box with Hexen and Doom as for diablo simply turn off explorer.exe

Diablo installs and runs, the colors are just completley warped. Will turning off that file fix it?

As for Hexen, it doesn't run on DOS, it Windows 95 based.

you can turn off the explorer file if you create batch file that turns the file off when you play the game , and turns it back on when youre finished. if you just disable it via the system manager the system will crash. as for Hexen , did you try the compatibility options first?

yeah the warped colours are a common problem with windows 95 games, simply alt-tab, press ctrl+alt+del then close the explorer.exe file while playing the game to fix it

once you're done playing, press ctrl+alt+del again click "File-> new task" and type "explorer" to bring it back once you're done playing

as for hexen and doom they run perfectly on Dos Box

Ive tried the control alt delete method and it really doesn't always work , sometimes you bring the game back up and the colours are still funny. creating a batch file is the better option I would say, takes hardly any effort too.

its quite easy too, and you can reuse the same file on multiple games, just make multiple copies of it, and change and ,exe file to that specific game.

Ive been thinking of getting one of those, but I can't find any sadly, people tend to throw away old PCs more often than old consoles (out of the assumption that the newer PC will still play the old games) just make sure that the computer you get has a 3DFX Voodoo card in it, unless you want to play all the games in software mode , also a Pentium II would be nice. actually if I had the necessary components, Id build a pretty damn good late 90s PC that would run everything from that era perfectly.

PS2 - Dragon Quest VIII, I kind of consider this my main game at the moment but keep getting distracted.

GBA - Super Mario Land 3: Warioland. Got his ready to go haven't played more than a few minutes though.

GameCube - GBA player disc, for when I want to play Warioland on the big screen.

PSP - WipEout: Pure, been meaning to finish unlocking this but keep getting distracted, much like I am w/ my PS2. This and Dragon Quest VIII are the games I'm "supposed" to be playing by my own self-imposed schedule.

3DS - Got Super Street Fighter IV in the card slot but haven't played it in a few weeks. Right now I am playing Four Swords as a distraction from Zelda 2.

N64 - Perfect Dark. This is supposed to be an even better version of Goldeneye but I'm not really seeing it. Played for a night and put it down never to pick it up again. Been meangint to have some buddies over for some multiplayer action but it never happens.

So many games, so little time!
