The most I've ever spent on a single video game was $69.99 for the Halo 3 Limited Edition. The most I was willing to spend was $100 for Dragonball GT Final Bout. Of course I was a stupid kid with not much sense of value for money (looking back at my most expensive purchase I was pretty dumb to spend that much on Halo 3's Limited Edition in my early 20's), and back then there weren't many Dragonball video games, especially a DBGT video game. Now after dwelling on DBGT Final Bout, I kind of want that game now. It's only going for 75 bucks on amazon right now. Maybe I'll buy it. I just looked that up while typing this.

So, gamespotters, what's the most you've ever spent on a video game, and/or the most you'd be willing to spend on a video game.

I have a couple $150 donations to a few kickstarters (Wasteland 2 and Shadowrun Returns) plus the Boderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest Edition which was around that amount also.

Wow. You're really loaded aren't cha?

I just noticed the icon in your user image. You're a proud donator, huh?

..well, I can't really call you a big spender yet. Those donations aren't going through UNLESS the games are being made.

The most money I've spent on one game was $99.99 on the Grand Theft Auto IV: Collector's Edition.

ACtually I donated $175 to the Shadowrun Returns kickstarter. They took my money already so I might have paid $175 for nothing. It's a gamble but that's why I support only known developers. I skipped the last couple of projects I wanted to back. I have 3 now, I just want to see if they come through on their end before i spend any more money.

I've bought a few 100$ Collector's Editions, but if I was a really big fan, I'd buy a 150$ CE, which is why I'm debating getting the Borderlands 2 CE.

The most I spend on a video game is importing the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in early 2008. I believe I spend about $70 on it.

I've spent $100 on Street Fighter II for the SNES and $115 on on Chrono Trigger for the SNES when they first came out. This gen I've also purchased a few Collector's Editions of games for between $70 and $100. As for what I'd be willing to spend on any one game that would really all depend on what came with the package to warrant the extra price. I guess in general I'd be comfortable up to $150 to $200 after that I'd really have to evaluate the importance of the overall package for myself.

The most i've spent is on the $100 CE.. although I don't do that anymore.. the Borderlands $150 CE with the loot chest was mighty tempting but I can't afford to spend that sort of money on a game.

I paid 100$ for the Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception Collectors Edition. I also purchased a regular copy of Uncharted 3 as well. So if you add that in it would be 160$ + tax.

I was an idiot and bought the Modern Warfare 2 Hardened edition. All I have to show for it is a lousy book and a lousy case. The Fallout: New Vegas Collector's edition was much less regrettable for the same price ($80). Those are the only 2 collector's editions to games I've bought. I rarely even buy games full price, so those two games were huge exceptions to my spend as little money possible on games philosophy. The next collector's edition I'll get will probably be the one for the next Fallout game, assuming it'll have one.

Most I ever spent was $100 on Arkham City special edition. I love the statue that came with it. Most I'll ever spend on a non-special edition is $60. Most on a special is $100 but I probably never will again for quite a long time since I'm very broke.

So...the most you guys seem to have spent was in the $100-$200 range. Somewhat impressive. I was expecting to find some hardcore video game collectors on this forum. Like someone who'd shell out $1000 for a really hard to find game.
