Emulators and throwback consoles with a bunch of arcades on it don't count. What's the oldest physical original copy of a game you own? For me It's Ninja Gaiden II on the NES. I have to confess It's the only NES game I own as I simply found an old NES and this game in the trash but I kept it and enjoy looking at it.

The oldest game that I own is Space Invaders for the Atari 2600. It was released in 1980 which is six years before I was born. It gives me a cool feeling when I hold it knowing that it was made before I was even a part of this world.

Dune 2, probably. Not that old, but I'm proud of it, birth of the RTS genre right there.

My Intellivision library, specifically: Armor Battle, Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack, NFL Football, and Space Battle were all made in 1979.

I have a Magnavox Odyssey from 1972 that still works today, although I believe it was obtained by my parents sometime in '74. They gave it to me when I was old enough to begin appreciating it. Many of the screen overlays that were included for the games are there as well. The overlays are more important, since in many cases they actually dictate what game you are playing more than the game cards themselves. Anyone who has played/seen one knows what I'm talking about.

Some of the game cards I can remember for it:

Haunted House, Hockey, Cat and Mouse, Submarine, Tennis

I have many pong machines as well, but I don't know all the years they were released in. They are from around the same time.

We still have a Pacman arcade on our home in the province. I know it was even older than me (I'm 20 years old by the way)

Nascar racing from papyrus, still sealed, from 1994. Relatively recent purchase and a rare find(even opened). Beloved childhood game too(that's why I went after it).

Wow, that brings back memories... played that a lot when I was a kid.

As for me, in terms of physical games, the oldest I own is probably an OG Xbox game (Halo CE maybe). I unfortunately sold all the old classics I grew up with :(

Really cool thread! I don't have that many ancient physical games any more. Probably my oldest games are a few treasured floppys for MS DOS games, but I'd have to root around to see which I still have, since I play those games through DOS Box now.

For consoles, likely similar age or contenders would be some of my early Genesis titles and things like Tetris for my OG GameBoy

I own a Tele-games Super Pong IV which was released in 1975, I'd guess technically that would be the oldest 'game' in my collection...
