What's games do you enjoy despite what reviewers say?

I enjoyed ninety nine nights, and Prey, despite many people being pretty harsh on them. And more recently Alone in the dark, some reviews gave it 3/10 but most are around 6/10, still a pretty low score, and I agree for the most part, there are many flaws, but I still really liked it.

Oooo I have a good one. I really loved NARC for ps2. Most people only saw it as a piss poor GTA wannabe but I found some of the elements in that game to be extremely fun! The melee combat, arresting people.

Devil May Cry 3. Stupid unnecessary difficulty, but the cinema, combat mechanics, music were sweet.

The Transformers, PS3, I knew it sucked, but still liked blowing stuff up and transforming all the time. Grew up on the cartoon and toys in my defense.

Dynasty Warriors, ALL OF THEM. I have the whole collection, even on psp and DW6 for the PS3. They all got bad ratings but it's still a fun game to play.

I got some.

I enjoy Mario & Sonic at the Olympics and Sega Superstars Tennis.

Only because all the characters make the game better than it is. I would never play it if it has Mii-characters or super deformed realistic characters. (I have DS versions)

Statistically the worst game that I own is Tenchu: Fatal Shadows. I actually enjoyed that game alot. They have this boss mode where you get timed and my friend and I had a competition to see who could kill this one boss the fastest. I think my time was between 10 and 12 seconds. Awesome, frustrating times!

I actually liked the first DBZ Budokai game when it came out, but I was younger then. If I played it today, I probably wouldn't like it.

EDIT: I forgot to mention Army Men RTS. I guess the only reason I like it is because I don't play that many RTS games.

Dynasty Warriors series - I have all of them (including the 1st Ps1 title that was just a fighting game but you could play as Nobunaga and Lubu) and I've enjoyed them all immensely. Most of my best video game memories of playing co-op with a friend come from this series.

Tenchu series - Again, I have all of them (including the DS game) and I have enjoyed all of them a great deal. I still throw in the latest 360 game from time to time and go for a nice silent killing spree. It's a shame the newest one made it too easy to get the highest ranking but oh well.

Rumble Roses series - Another series that I enjoyed quite a bit and with a little tweaking it could be very good. Despite the game's obvious agenda to highlight the more prurient aspects of the game, the engine actually has some good stuff going for it. In wrestling games I tend to be a submissions type of player and the grapple and submission transitions in this game are so good that if I were wrestling I would probably steal them. I greatly enjoyed the chain techniques in which you could play a mix-up game of submissions or quick strikes to keep your opponent guessing. Fun stuff!

Probably Castlevania Curse of Darkness. For some reason even though it pained me on how it turned out overall I did find somethings about it that kept me playing the game all the way through and get some enjoyment out of it.

I think I liked the weapon creation mode in it and that's about it. They rooms were just too large and empty.

Most recently Haze. Technical issues aside, I didn't think it was as bad as everyone made it out to be, plus the ending was actually pretty interesting.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance which scored in the 5.0-5.9 range, I loved Blood Omen 2 and Soul Reaver 2 and I just had to get Defiance. I liked it a lot, too.

Also, Ultimate Spiderman. It is really a great game, despite the mediocre reviews it recieved.

Killzone for ps2. I got low ratings, not horrible ratings but low ratings. I enjoyed the game and I thought if the developers put more time into it, the game would have not had the technical issues it had. Enter the Matrix as some other people had mentioned was a decent game. I enjoyed it.

Hard to tell, but I really liked Assassins Creed. It didn't get that bad reviews but some reviewers gave it like a 7 or something and everybody seems to hate it. But I loved it (the PC version with more sidemissions).

anything this side of diablo tops Oblivion in the RPG department.

Factions that actually get pissed off because you do things wrong, The fact that there are tons of items and weapons, creatures don't level with you. you can actually use a bow and arrow in this game. the world had actual npcs walking around outside of cities, better quests, the leveling system...

Sorry wasn't thinking Diablo is a little more addicting. Wasn't thinking but I was trying to point out that Two Worlds didn't beat Oblivion. Sorry for the off-topic I will stop now

I'm thinking that the Simpson's game for 360 is worth mentioning here, not to many people ever got it that I know of, didn't score that great, but I really thought it was great aside from the camera controll.

Lol i guess, if it's cheap. Don't yell at me if you hate it as it's not for everyone. Be sure to pull up an online walkthrough too cuz in the later levels some of the "missions" get ridiculous. It's not for everyone, but maybe you would like it. Try it.
