[QUOTE="bisonfan2010"][QUOTE="Judge-Gabranth"]I don't think either one of my favorite games could be easily translated into a movie, one movie that is, unless we're speaking about 6-10 hour movie here, maybe a trilogy. I for once wouldn't want a live action movie based on my favorite game as they tend to suck, rarely does directior know jack about the game itself, nor does he bother to bring someone that actually does. The only movie I would aprove is either anime or CGI one, and it would be a prequel to let's say Final Fantasy IX.Judge-Gabranth
But it doesn't matter on how well it was made in the past...Think of it this way...
You have an unlimited movie budget to make the perfect game movie...whether it be live action or not...you can call your own cast of actors to act out and have be a big production film...not something of cheap budget like super mario bros...or doom (although doom did have the rock lol)
Like someone stated above MGS 1 would make a huge movie...But I think they would have to make metal gear from the nes into a movie first...since it is a prequel to MGS 1 on ps1...I think they could be summer blockbusters
It seems you didn't quite understand what I was trying to say, guess me and my bad English are the ones to blame. But seriously, one movie wouldn't be enough, no matter how much money you got, no matter how good the actors are you simply can't pull of a decent live action movie based on a game such as Final Fantasy IX. As for why, simple really. Can you imagine squeezing a 50-80 hour game into a movie that would last 3 hours max, Uwe Boll can, but that's a different story, and the actors, who could possibly play Steiner with me saying, "that's Steiner alright". Trilogy would be a different thing, which I've already mentioned, though I would still prefer either a CGI or anime movie, both highly doable to less limitations.Well that is true...RPG movies would have to obviously at LEAST (depending on the game) have sequels because there is a lot of content in RPG genres...But maybe they could pull it off with some of the old school RPGs like Final Fantasy II and cram that into one movie...Actually I think that could be a really good movie...cliched some but two lands are at war with each other...One is severely overpowering the other one...A young group of 3 people go secret agent style and assassinate the other land's emperor only to find out that he stole Satan's soul and reappears again as a demon...Wait a second...this would need a sequel too lol. One movie with the assassination of the normal emperor and the sequel with the demonic emperor. (btw I'm going to say that is a weird way to spell assassinate but I'm going with my spell checker XD)
